I had a peaceful stay at this riverside homestay in Rishy. The location is beautiful, with the river very close by and amazing natural views all around. The cottages are quiet and perfect for anyone looking to relax in nature.
The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. The food was fresh, pure, and hygienically prepared, though the taste may be different from typical Bengali-style cooking. However, the barbecue was excellent—juicy, soft, and definitely worth trying. Bonfire and barbecue facilities add to the overall experience.
The homestay is also conveniently connected. A short walk to the main road gives access to shared taxis and service vehicles for Kalimpong, making onward travel easy.
Overall, a great place for nature lovers seeking peace, scenic beauty, and a relaxing getaway.

The staff were non co-operative and very rude. Even when we said that the food was excellent they were very rude and there were two ways to the cottage the intentionally chose the steeper way even when they saw there was senior citizen which made the experience worse

We stayed at Reshi River Cottage Homestay, Reshikhola with our family of five on 22nd December 2025. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and ideal for a family stay. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming, making us feel at home. The home-cooked food was fresh, delicious, and served with great care.
Highly recommended for a relaxed family stay in Reshikhola.

Location is excellent, but need cleanliness..
The location is very close nature. Service, rooms, food served were very good. We enjoyed the roaring sound of Rishi River all the time during our stay there.It is actually close the river bed. Porter service is available for luggages as car will not reach to this Home Stay. Rishi River divides Sikkim & West Bengal at Rishikhola. Motorable road is at Sikkim side of this river but this Home Stay at the West Bengal side. We crossed the river through a bamboo bridge to reach Rishikhola River Cottage. But the stay was really nice.

Very beautiful location.. Rooms are good, view is awesome. Service provided is also good.. Only problem is that they don't provide dinner in rooms.. You have take dinner by 9.00 - 9.15 pm at the dining place.. Food quality can be improved.. Overall nice place to visit & stay for couple of days..
