Best homestay in peshok. The Host of the homestay is very cordial and the food is just 5/5. Visited in November 2024. Balcony is very good for spending time with yours loved ones.

A Memorable Stay at Mountain View Homestay, Peshok – Darjeeling We were travelling back to Nagpur after a darshan at Kamakhya Mandir when an unplanned detour to Darjeeling led us into a challenging situation. Both of our cars overheated near Peshok at midnight, leaving us stranded with senior citizens and children. In that moment of worry, a quick Google search led me to Mountain View Homestay, and I dialed the first number I saw. Fortunately, Mr. Bhusan Rai picked up the call. His calm and genuinely concerned response instantly reassured me. Despite the late hour, he welcomed us with open arms, offering two comfortable rooms at his homestay. His warmth, empathy, and helpfulness were far beyond our expectations—he treated us like family from the moment we arrived. The next morning, Mr. Rai didn’t just stop at offering accommodation. He went out of his way to help us plan our sightseeing itinerary and arranged two local cars to take us around. Special mention to his friends, Mr. Asish Thapa and Mr. Deepkar Gurung, who drove us across Darjeeling with utmost patience and care. They not only guided us through the beautiful viewpoints and shared their local knowledge and history, but also helped us take photos and videos to make our trip even more memorable. The cherry on top was the home-cooked food—authentic, delicious, and made with love. Breakfast and meals at Mountain View Homestay were absolutely lip-smacking. I truly wish I had more time to explore even more of Darjeeling. I’m definitely planning to return soon with at least a week’s time in hand, along with family and friends, to fully soak in the beauty and hospitality this place has to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay in Darjeeling that feels like home.
