Rangaroon—a peaceful village in the Darjeeling district, surrounded by the lush beauty of tea gardens—is truly a hidden gem. I chose to stay at Sayok Homestay, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience.
The biggest highlight (USP) of this homestay is definitely the terrace. It’s such a beautiful and relaxing space—I absolutely loved spending time there, soaking in the serene surroundings.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with two beds that can easily accommodate up to four people. The homestay is run by Sayok bhaiya and aunty, and their warm, cordial behavior made the stay even more special. They served delicious, homely food that added to the overall experience.
What truly made me love this place was not just the scenic charm, but the genuine hospitality and that amazing terrace. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Rangaroon!

Excellent place to stay at Rangaroon... One of my best places as well😌 Sayok ji and Aunty make their Homestay truly beautiful and worthy. Foods are absolutely delicious and nutritious..😌 wanna visit again and again for sure.

Clean and hygienic rooms, very warm and welcoming people, full marks for hospitality, Aunty cooks amazing food and the view is actually good from rooms, specially the night scenes from terrace.
Had a wonderful stay at this lovely homestay! Felt like home, thanks to the warm hospitality of Sayok ji and their family. Aunty's cooking was delicious, every dish was a treat. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, and witnessing Kanchenjunga in the rainy season was a pleasant surprise. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommend, looking forward to visiting again!

Sayak is a very nice person. He is trying to setup his business with an earnest conviction. Rooms are clean,food is good cooked by his Mom. I wish him all the best for his future.
Stayed for 2 nights and it was fantastic in every sense. The room was cozy, hospitability was excellent. The cooking is just awsome, not spicy but very tasty. Loved it here and want to come again. Highly recommended.

Sayak Home stay is a perfect place to enjoy the calm, cool and exquisite beauty of nature sorrounded by hills and valleys,tea gardens with different coloured flowers and soothing greenery.The foods served here at breakfast, lunch and dinner is sufficient, delicious and good in quality that is absolutely home made.If luck favours one can view the mesmerizing beuty of Kanchanjangha.Mr.Sayak as well as all his family members are so cordial and helpful that we felt like home all the time.

We had the most incredible experience staying at Rangaroon Sayok Homestay in front of the picturesque mountains of Khangchendzonga (Kanchanjanga). The moment we stepped into this cozy homestay, we felt like we were home. Our host, Mr. Sayok, along with his beautiful family, was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The homestay itself was immaculately clean and offered breathtaking views of Kanchanjanga and the surrounding tea gardens of Rangaroon Tea Estate. The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies every night. But what truly made our stay special was the delicious homemade food! Sayok’s mother is an exceptional cook, and every meal was a culinary delight. We enjoyed trying local specialties and even got to learn some cooking tips from our host. The location of the homestay was perfect – close enough to Jorebunglow and Darjeeling, yet far enough to offer tranquility and stunning views. We spent our days exploring the surrounding hills, visiting local attractions, trek to the local water-fall & river and simply relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere with sips of first flush tea from the gardens of Rangaroon. In short, Sayok’s Homestay exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a genuine, warm, and welcoming experience in the mountains, look no further! We can't wait to return and stay in Rangaroon again with Sayok’s beautiful family.
[17/01, 11:35 pm] Manju Suin: Rangarun is a quiet and offbeat village in Darjeeling district. The best homestay I have stayed in till date is Sayak Homestay in Rangarun. Sayak ji, papa ji, mami ji have treated me so well, I have never been to any homestay.Kanchenjunga can be seen from the room at Sayak Homestay. Such a beautiful view is rarely seen from the roof of a homestay. Below is a tea garden with a small narrow river flowing below it and above is a forest, in a word, impeccable.The food prepared by Mommyji is very good .Visit Rangarun's Sayak Homestay and you will be impressed by their hospitality.
