5 Stars are not enough to describe my stay! If you want to experience the true hospitality of the people in the mountains then this is the place to be. This homestay is just 4-5kms from Darjeeling Market and just 12-13 mins Walk from ghoom railway station. The Place is very quite, budget and family friendly. Food was the Highlight of this place, perfectly prepared by Ms Jigmi the host of the homestay! We had a 3 day stay here. She took additional care and efforts to provide us with halal meat! We went around December it was cold and freshly prepared delicious food made our stay extremely wonderful and lively! The Rooms are good and warm. You will get heater with additional cost ( ofcourse as a lot of electricity is used for heaters). Hot water + all basic amenities are available, if you need anything let the hosts know, they are very accommodating! It is a request, Kindly protect the sanctity of this place as it is family friendly, come here for peace! Or else there are other stays inside the main city. If you decide to stay here then respect the local people and culture! This is not a paid or promoted review - I had true homestay experience here and would recommend this stay to people who wish to experience the same.

We had a wonderful time at the Blue Dragon Homestay. If you're looking for peace and quiet near Darjeeling this is the place for you, slightly off town, closer to the tiger hills it keeps you away from the noisy toursity vibes yet close enough to be able to visit all of it. The best part about the stay are the hosts. The family will give you the warmest welcome and the food is to die for! Delicious, nutritious home cooked hot meals are impossible to find anywhere else. All the basic facilities related to the room are available going above and beyond a homestay setting. Best experience for travellers!

Absolutely magical stay at Blue Dragon Homestay! From the moment we arrived, Dr Dawa and Jigme’s hospitality wrapped us like a cozy blanket in the misty hills. The family shared heartfelt stories over steaming cups of tea, making us feel like family right away. The home-cooked Tibetan meals were a highlight, enjoyed together at their table. Tucked away from Darjeeling's bustling noise, it's a peaceful retreat, just a short drive from Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary. Truly an authentic, soul-nourishing experience. We hope to be back someday!

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Dragon. The rooms are spatious and clean. The owners are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious and so was the tea.

We had the most wonderful 5 days at Dawa and Jigme’s home, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The rooms were cozy, spotless, and extremely comfortable, making it easy to settle right in. What really made our stay special, though, was the warmth and kindness of Dawa and Jigme - they are so approachable and genuinely sweet that we often felt like we were staying with old friends rather than hosts. The food was another highlight ,simple, wholesome, and full of love, with thoughtful touches of local flavors that made every meal memorable. We deeply appreciated how much care went into making our experience authentic and comfortable. The property itself is conveniently located and easy to reach, and Dawa and Jigme were always happy to share information, tips, and stories that enriched our time there. We left with full hearts, feeling cared for, and already looking forward to returning someday.

i was regular reviewer 5yrs before whenever visits any place for wildlife trips or family trips but now giving reviews only for those person who r connected to me Location is near to entry point of tiger hill and close to local market so u can go to market very easily to buy any groceries Rooms r spacious enough for 2 person and u can also add extra beds. Excellent food and taste coz made by homestay owner herself A very warm welcome with welcome drink,its a feeling like 5star. Whenever we asked to make food and she made and given direct to us after make. Loved to eat Tibetan bread & thukpa i’m sure you feel like your home coz homestay owner both husband and wife connect with guest. We were served delicious traditional local meals, lovingly prepared by the owner, and the tea—especially—was something we all thoroughly enjoyed. What truly stood out was the genuine hospitality. We spent two peaceful days in Senchal for birding, and our stay was truly memorable. The charming little homestay was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed delicious local dishes like Tibetan bread and Thukpa, all freshly prepared. We have purchased tea here. As they make good tea which we like most. What made the stay even more special was the warm hospitality — the owner personally connected with every guest, making us feel right at home. A perfect place to relax and explore nature.

It was a wonderful experience staying at Blue Dragon homestay. Owners are very courteous and efficient. Food was excellent !! It is very conveniently located for tourists as well as birders visiting Senchal WLS. I look forward to visit the homestay again in future.

This homestay is on the way to the Tiger hill observatory. The hosts are very welcoming, well behaved. The rooms are cozy, well maintained and clean. Food is average.

This is one of the Best Homestays that I stayed in all of Darjeeling😍 and actually I would highly recommend everybody to avoid the Chaos of Darjeeling and try out this cozy Homestay nestled in the foothills of Tiger Hills & Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary, hardly about 6-7 kms from Darjeeling They welcome U into their Homestay so warmly that u would love to stay here forever and serve u authentic and delicious Tibetan food so ur tummy is also residing here only 😉 For all my Wildlifer and birding friends, this is the most Ideal location to stay at a stone’s throw away from the gate of Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary 👍🏼 Just have a look at their beautifully decorated traditional Homestay 👇🏽

A lovely cozy homestay on the way to Senchel in Darjeeling. The hosts offer excellent hospitality starting with freshly brewed Darjeeling tea. We were a group of birders and even in monsoon the hosts took good care of us despite the heavy rains.

Amazing stay! Highly recommended for the yearly family trip which you're planning in the summer or in the winter. The Tibetan food they serve is too amazing!

Мы останавливались здесь весной 2025 года во время нашего путешествия по Сиккиму. Дом расположен рядом с лесом, недалеко от Tiger Hill, одной из достопримечательности Дарджилинга. Свежий воздух, доброжелательная обстановка, приветливость и радушие всех членов семьи, очень вкусная еда, приготовленная самой хозяйкой, все это располагает к решению вернуться в этот семейный отель в следующий раз.
