The homestay with it's location being closest to Neora valley Conservation area entry point is ideally suited for nature lovers and bird watchers. The balcony overlooking the forest with numerous birds visiting the property is a nature lover's delight. Rooms are basic with proper toilets and geysers. Tara Rai is a well known bird guide who along with his family runs the show. Food is excellent and so is the coffee. Would go back again

The homestay is really far from Lava Bazar, you have to literally climb a mountain to reach Lava bazar where there are very few eateries. The homestay had literally two females who were well mannered however they were novice to online booking so didn't even realise we came through a make my trip booking. They gave us the room which was very poorly maintained. Earthy smell, insects all around the floor as well thr walls, drinking water too was not given, there were two lights in the room however most of times there was no electricity, geyser was dere but no hot water was coming i think mostly there is no power. It was pitch dark outside since there are no street lights but the homestay had very limited lighting so no light was given outside the room too and to top it all me n my husband were the only guests staying. This was really surprising considering its a good time for tourists to visit and when all other hotels were full. The bazar s so far n there are so many dogs around that you'll be scared to death to walk n so have to eat whatever this homestay can prepare which is only chowmin which tasted really bad. Next day morning we asked if dere s anything for breakfast we were told nothing. The room had a big window with glass however opening of was not an option because of the deadly insects, there were big sized locusts too. Since we couldn't open the windows, it became really suffocating inside the room. We stayed two nights but noone came to ask for room cleaning. It looked like they do not bother about cleanliness at all. The reviews on the internet for this homestay was really good n so I booked it however after visiting here I realised the reviews might have been fake or maybe they do things differently during the peak season but I m sharing what I experienced. I will not recommend anyone to book this homestay if you want a decent stay, I was waiting for my two nights to get over somehow so I can vacate.

Lava Feathers India is famous for bird watching.. You can take some rare species from its balcony. Mr. Tara Rai himself is a Birding guide and archery champion. For non birders or normal tourists the coocking of Mrs. Rai (Didi) is awesome that makes you feel like home. Samir Rai, son of Mr.Tara Rai can also helps you on birding. This homestay is situated at the terminal point at Lava besides Neoravalley entry gate. Enjoy Didi's delicious coocking and nearby momo and tea stalls out side shacks. Thank you💙💙💙💙💙 save nature save wildlife.

This is a marvelous homestay. The owner Mr. Tara Rai is a keen bird watcher and a very good guide. His wife prepares food for the guests. The quality and taste of food is excellent. The rooms are good, clean and have a great view. The location is at one end of the small town. So raw nature is only next to the property. Both Tara and his wife are always keen to serve the guests with optimum care.
