This property is located at lower Lava, within 200m from Neora Valley National Park and exactly near Kolakham route.
Our checkin process was very nice. One day we stayed in a standard room next day in the deluxe. Both the rooms were clean, cozy, since we booked through WhatsApp, was a bit skeptical earlier but once we reached I had to second thought. Rooms were comfortable. Food was too good to mention. Lunch was served in rooftop dining area, all other meals were served in room only. Food was very tasty. The behaviour of the owner n the staff was incredibly amazing! He was very very well behaved and fulfilled all our requests. Had a very comfortable stay there.
Have added photos of the food and view from the balcony and room.
It was within budget but gave a very relaxing experience, beyond our expectations. Will definitely book this one if we are travelling again.
Poor hospitality rude behaviour and unprofessional stuffs only greed for money and extra charges
A moderate and decent family hotel to stay in at Lava. A week ago, we stayed here for three nights. Location is near the entry point of Neora Valley National Park checkpost and thus, holds one of the best locations in Lava. The Lava Monastery is at five minutes' walking distance.
The rooms on the second floor, where we have stayed, have a grand view of the adjoining mountain range. Rooms (and the corridors as well) are clean and spacious. The washrooms are tidy enough and have 24 hours hot water supply through geyser.
Foods they provided were fresh, safe, tasty and adequate. The ambience of the dining hall on the top floor is appreciable. The proprietor of the hotel and his subordinate staffs as well, were humble and always in a mood to cooperate. I trusted upon him for arranging a car in which to reach Lava fom NJP, travel to the nearby places & finally to drop us at Panbudara and all was done on time and at an approvable rate.
On getting another chance to travel to the place, I would certainly opt for this nice property to stay in.
You want a budget Homestay at convenient location. Cerulean Retreat is good choice for that. There are many other home stays and restaurants nearby. NEORA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK entry is hardly 200 meters.
Rooms provide necessary amenities.
As it's very cold here, taking extra blanket proved to be nice idea. Room heater available @₹500 per night.
Food, breakfast is served on Ala carte basis on roof top sitting arrangement.
Warm and cozy room, outside of crowd area.

Best another hotel in lava. Good location and parking also. Food is good.
Our stay at Cerulean Retreat was truly a memorable one! The homestay was extremely comfortable and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of warmth and elegance. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making us feel right at home throughout the trip.
The food served was delicious and far exceeded our expectations, especially considering the package provided—it was definitely value for money. The location of the retreat is another major highlight, with stunning views that added a serene touch to our entire experience.
Overall, everyone in our group absolutely loved the stay. It was the ideal getaway, and we’re already looking forward to visiting again. We highly recommend Cerulean Retreat to anyone planning a relaxing and enjoyable trip!
