Very good and very behaviour of the owner

The location and views are amazing, but unfortunately the most important aspect—hospitality—is extremely poor. Both the quantity and quality of the food are disappointing. There are two properties. The dome cottages seem new and well maintained, but the older property leaves a very different impression. It feels cozy at first, yet damp and outdated—almost like an old, musty gown. The charges for the bonfire are unreasonably high, and to make matters worse, the behavior of other locals was far better than that of the hosts themselves.

Had a wonderful stay at Chitrakoot Farm House, Pabong. The food was very good, tasty, and sufficient in quantity. Room service was prompt, and the rooms were well maintained. The owners and staff were very humble, polite, and helpful, which made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Highly recommended for a peaceful and relaxing experience.

Nice place at paying kalimpong, hospitality professional level

It was a great stay. Gurungji, bhabi, daadi..the whole family was very nice. They have their own farm, everything they cook from their farm. Pabong is calm village, you don't expect anything other than great Kanchanjangha. The whole range and so.e not known snown caped range you can see from here. You will hear no noice except the sound of breeze. We were lucky that we went during less crowded time, and the family stayed beside our cottage was nice and not loud. But in case you are not so lucky your solitude would be disturbed. Food : Very nice they provided rai shak, mixed vggies from farm, home made ghee and otjer items. Stay : Ok. One concern they didn’t change the bed sheet when a family leave. Location : Very nice. Unhindered view of mountain. Behaviour : Very Nice.

Rooms were clean and specious. View was excellent. Food was average. Service was good and people were friendly.

Hidden Gem. Yes they aren't at par with today's media hype generation. They are not in the league also! Here we got food , room , and hospitality just like home Not to mention that we arrived at odd hours as we travel by self drive in the hills. First homestay I found with Fire place in every rooms. We stayed in a but old rooms but they have set up new rooms also with fire places as well. Nature , lovely views and home like food , what more one can expect from a holiday in wilderness!

Owner is most noncooperative.dirty linen and refuses to change.dirty surrounding.never visit such homestay.

Nice behavior of the owners. They provided us homely meal. Rooms were clean and cozy. On a clear day kanchanghunjha can be seen from the courtyard and some rooms. Surrounding village is pristine , no noise no pollution, pure calmness attacks here.

Great Location, view, food, hospitality

We were a group of four girls staying at this place for a night in the month of May, 2024. The view is excellent but that is the only thing this place offers. The rooms are not maintained for months with stinky blankets, bedsheets and filled with insects . Although, these are manageable things, since you are running a homestay, but there was no help provided by the owners, caretakers and from the people at Riddimart( the place that takes up your booking) . On top of these, the kind of people who ended up staying in the cottage beside ours, were no less than hooligans. They started drinking openly in the common resturant area in the middle of the evening and marked us with sexist slurs. It's an utter disappointment that there is no mechanism to lodge a complaint against such homestays due to not being in a near proximate area of a police station and the hotel owners do not know how to profile check before lending rooms in their property. I would not recommend this place to anyone because you will constantly feel unsafe if you are a solo traveller. Try to stay in the homestays that the same group provides in their upper area called as Pabung homestay. We could not get that place for a night because these same set of hooligans had booked the entire place. It's a request to homestay owners that when they know from before hand what quality of people are they going to attend then not to take up bookings from other people and make their experience horrible. That's the least you people can do.
