Lepcha's Homestay

I booked a room at this homestay through Booking.com for 13–16 June 2026. After making the reservation, I called the property owner and received confirmation over the phone. Three days before my journey, I contacted them again to reconfirm my booking, and they assured me that everything was in order. However, when I reached Kalimpong on 13 June and called them for location assistance, I was shocked to be told that they would not provide me with the room I had booked. Instead, they tried to persuade me to stay at other, more expensive homestays. I immediately contacted Booking.com, and their support team attempted to resolve the issue with the property owner. Unfortunately, no solution was reached, and I was left with no choice but to book another hotel at a much higher price at the last minute. This was a highly disappointing and stressful experience. The property owner failed to honor a confirmed reservation despite multiple confirmations. I would not recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a reliable place to stay.

They should have some transperancy about the rooms and location. They didn't provide our rooms in lepchas homestay. Which had no view room. Food weren't up to the mark. The room they provided us were not in same location as lepchas homestay. Even when we booked the rooms after seeing it online.it was in totally different location in chandralok. They didn't even clarify us why they didn't provide room in lepchas homestay. They were keeping saying they our rooms are also part of lepchas homestay. But it was totally misleading. It was just a rented house. Anyone trying to book rooms in lepchas homestay. I recommend you to be clear about the location. And in which building they are providing your room. I don't know they are aware of the things or not but this is serious. It'll be more problematic if any travel company book their room and they does like this..

The service was not up to the mark.. they lied about the rooms and provided us the another property which was not the lepcha homestay.. and the overall service was worse including the food package.. Its recommended not to book this homestay.. thus the people are also quiet rude not cooperative..

The hotel is very clean and well decorated. The rent of this homestay is much lower than the hotels in the vicinity.They have their own restaurant two minutes away from the homestay. The hotel owner's behavior is very good and he was from Kolkata. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Good place

Great place for staying. Superb view & nice hospitality.

I was solo travelling and trust me I got one of the best homestays ever. The Kanchenjunga view from the balcony and terrace is mesmerizing. Rooms are pretty with affordable prices. The host of this homestay is very friendly and their service is topnotch. Food is nice too. Felt like home away from home. Must recommended from my side.
