An exceptionally charming homestay nestled in the hills of Darjeeling. The hosts were most hospitable and attentive, and the accommodation was spotless, cosy, and tastefully appointed. The rooms were kept immaculately. The home-cooked meals were a particular delight simple, wholesome, and brimming with local flavour. It felt less like a stay and more like being welcomed into a home. We shall certainty return.

The place is like a breath of fresh air. The moment we enter we get transferred into the old world charm with antique decor and strong wooden presence in everything. The caretakers are also very helpful and eager to attend to any requests.Lot of eateries around and easily walkable to many points of interest. Will definitely recommend it. 👍👍

The homestay was very very comfortable , the rooms were very cozy warm and beautiful, Its a perfect place to stay at darjeeling to slow down and enjoy your time in Darjeeling The house lady and the staff was very friendly and kind and helpful

I travelled to Darjeeling 1st time recently i.e. in the month of May 2026 with my wife and 2 year old child and stayed at Taktser Homestay. This homestay is beautifully located very near to the mall road and this homestay is run by only women. All the staffs and ofcourse the owner at the homestay were well behaved and very well mannered so much caring and affectionate. They treated us like a family and made us feel as we are at home away from home... They were always ready to help us and the child by cooking spiceless baby friendly homade food.. Only breakfast was provided and foods were delicious and served hot... A dedicated dining room having all the basic amenities was available ... We booked one room for two days... Room was spacious, wooden floored , clean with attached washroom.. All premium facilities were readily available there... Basic amenities like Electric kettle, Wi-fi, Geyser available... A common balcony cum smoking verandah was there which was beautifully decorated... The only drawback was that no view was available from room... Rooms are at the ground floor and windows are locked permanently. But this homestay gives me vintage feel with a modern touch...

Had a wonderful stay at this homestay! The location is very convenient, being close to Mall Road, which made getting around extremely easy. The room offered premium quality and comfort at a very reasonable price compared to other hotels nearby. The host was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout the stay. Overall, it’s an excellent place if you’re looking for premium accommodation at a convenient price. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best places I’ve stayed at lately during my many travels, abroad included, the quality of rooms and hospitality is even more than some 5 Star hotels, will definitely be back to stay again, thank you so much Pelma !

It's an awesome place to stay. You would feel like a home away from home. A well maintained and decorated place with a mix of heritage and modern flavour. Neat and clean place with all the amenities. Owner of this property is just amazing. She is gem of a person. I felt like I have visited my elder sisters place. So much care and affection, I am always gonna remember. Thank you for the delicious Bhutanese breakfast, it was delicious and amazing. Anytime in future if I am at Darjeeling, please be ready for me. This is the place I would like to be in. Thank you for all the good experience I had in such a short stay😊

Brand new property. Most humble Host, Manager and staffs. Felt like home away from home. Must mention that authentic Tibetan breakfast.

We stayed for two nights, we were a group of 4. The place is super close to mall, but at the same time very quiet and peaceful. Pelma is an amazing host.She cooked us traditional Tibetan breakfast and dinner. The rooms were tastefully decorated with classic wooden furniture. The beds were firm and super comfortable. All of this at a very reasonable price. I would recommend it to all my friends going to Darjeeling!

Lovely heritage homestay in a great location, close to the centre of Darjeeling but in a much quieter spot away from all the noise and busyness. Beautifully restored with everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay, including delicious fresh homemade breakfast. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

It was a pleasant stay. It felt like 2nd home to us. It was such a amazing experience. Very calm n peaceful environment lovely owner n very helpful staff. They served tasty breakfast. Overall it wz jz Wow... It is highly recommended.
