Marvellous experience.Visited the place with the arrival of monsoons.Spending a couple of days in the lap of nature and viewing the clouds playing hide and seek with the mountains was so enchanting. The wooden cottages have a view through the windows.Rooms are comfortable and clean, washroom is good. The owner is an amicable person who looks into the comfort of the guests even personally and the staff are very cordial. The kitchen with the dining area is clean, cosy and aesthetic. They serve good and hygienic food and served Tibetan cuisine too.,In a nutshell Suma farm-stay is a perfect retreat away from the crowd.Thank you Mr.Sangam ,would look forward for visiting again.

Amazing stay, felt like home!* We had a wonderful time here. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming — they made sure we had everything we needed from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, cozy, and had all the little touches that made it feel homely. Loved the home-cooked meals — simple, fresh, and full of local flavors. Waking up to that view and a cup of tea on the balcony was the highlight. Location was perfect too, peaceful If you want a stay that’s more personal than a hotel and full of local charm, this is it. Will definitely come back! Highly recommended 👍

I stayed with my family in October 13 th. Location is great , near to darjeeling town..a peaceful village. Room was ok , but lack of maintenance... especially washroom. It is a overpriced property...we pay 2300 per head for food and stay for tripple sharing room which is exclude lunch . 1 member of my family is vegetarian, I informed it to homestay owner, but he didn't provide any veg item but only those stuff provide with non veg meal, but charge full non veg meal rate. We also expect a little upscale service bcz in Darjeeling you have too many these type of homestay which offers food & lodge @ 1200 - 1500 per person and also they have veg option. Infact next 2days we stayed in a homestay at sittong, the same standard but much better service @1500/person including lunch dinner breakfast, tea ,snacks. Although homestay owner was very nice and polite person. But it is not enough for overpriced property..

An offbeat location in darjeeling, located just a few km from the main city.. away from all the chaos.. we had a quiet peaceful morning.. saw a beautiful sunrise.. went for just a day but one can easily stay for many days.. it is that good.. would definitely visit again.. loved the hospitality.. ps- the food deserves a separate appreciation.. the best thing I love about homestays is the simple yet wholesome meals packed with local flavours (much better than hotels).. and this one was simply one of the best I’ve had.. 😊

We had the most peaceful and memorable stay at Suma Aavaas. Nestled amidst the hills, this place is a perfect escape from the noise and rush of everyday life. The surroundings are serene, the rooms are clean and cozy, and every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed with love and care. A special mention for the warmth and hospitality of the hosts—they made us feel like family. My dog, Thor, celebrated his birthday here. We also met another furry friend during our stay, and watching Thor play in the open fields, breathing fresh mountain air, was pure joy. If you’re looking for a calm retreat that welcomes pets, celebrates moments, and connects you to nature, Suma Aavaas is where your heart will feel at home.

Mr Sangam, owner of the place is an excellent host, polite and fun, he ensures each guest is looked after with love and care. While visiting Darjeeling this is a must stay place. I was holidaying with my two girl friends and this made us feel so cozy and warm. While sitting at the warm kitchen eating delicious Nepali thali transports you to a different world. Overall an amazing place with an equally amazing host.

This was probably my 7th visit to North Bengal- Darjeeling & I must say this time my visit to Lebong- Suma Aavaas Homestay definitely turned out to be the best one. Starting from the beginning, we had a warm welcome, by Sangam Ji who is the host/owner of the property. He showed us the different view points that one could see from the property. Dawaipani, Takdah, Lamahatta & Sikkim is clearly visible from the homestay. From the very beginning, I told Sangam Ji to suggest us how to explore the local areas of Lebong. He guided us very nicely, booked a wagnor for us with which we went down the mountain where there was Rungdu River, then we went to visit Takdah Tea Garden and nearby areas. Coming to Room quality part- the rooms are very cosy, clean and comfortable, the washrooms too are clean and with warm geyser water. They have a beautiful aesthetic kitchen. The food was tasty and homely. Try their maggi and momo ❤️ Oh donot forget to try their aloo ka paratha in the morning breakfast. The overall stay was so good that 2days stay over there felt less. They have four cottages- two cottages where 3 people can stay, 1 cottage where 4people can stay and other one where 5/6 people can stay. The property is very well planned and built. Beautiful garden with variety of flower plants and trees. They have a beautiful outdoor sitting area overlooking the valley, where in the morning or evening if you go, can hear and see Great Barbet Bird having mulberry fruits from a nearby tree. The property is pet friendly & easily accessible from the main road with ample parking space.

Stayed for 2 days in April 2025. The host Sangam is amazing. He offered us tea and we went for a short hike in the morning. The staff were very polite and the 2 days felt very quaint and calming. Away from the noise and crowd of Darjeeling, this place is just 20 mins from it, but offers a great view, value for money rooms, and healthy food.

Almost half n hour drive from Darjeeling mall, this homestay is perfect place to stay if you want to avoid crowd. The roads leading to homestay might feel misleading, but once you reach there, you will be surprised. The rooms, the views and above all the hospitality will make you fall in love with this homestay. They are pet friendly and also have good wifi to do your office work. The food was super delicious. They will also arrange car if you need. Would definitely love to come back in summer when the swimming pool is open.

Lebong is the best place for those who want to visit Darjeeling but don't want to live in the Darjeeling crowd. Close to Darjeeling, this offbeat village is as quiet as it is beautiful. And you can enjoy great view from this homestay. Also the guest service is very good.
