A great place for holidays or workation. Quiet and beautiful place, with kanchanjunga and darjeeling views from room. Rooms are tidy and well maintained, with staffs being very helpful.

Rokas Eco Retreat Farmstay at Dawaipani, Darjeeling is an amazing place to stay! The view of Kanchanjangha from here is absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are clean and cozy, the food is delicious and feels homemade, and the hospitality is warm and genuine. Service here takes such good care of the guests — it really feels like home away from home. A perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and wake up to stunning mountain views. Would love to come back again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely perfect homestay experience !! From the moment we arrived, we were 8 members family group, everything was arranged with great care and warmth. The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, offering a cozy home-away-from-home feeling. The food was simply outstanding—fresh, delicious, and prepared with genuine hospitality. What truly made our stay memorable was the impeccable service. The hosts and staff were always attentive, friendly, and eager to help, ensuring that every need was taken care of. The breathtaking Kanchanjunga views, serene surroundings, and peaceful environment added a magical touch to the entire experience. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and stunning vistas was unforgettable. If you're looking for a perfect place to stay near Darjeeling that combines comfort, hospitality, great food, and spectacular views, this homestay is highly recommended. We will definitely visit again!

One of the best stay you can have in Dawaipani Busty... place is a gem... on the way you can find green tea garden... Rooms are clean and place is quite.. services are up to the mark considering price point... if you like quite places you will definitely enjoy, else it is not your place...

​We recently stayed here and had a wonderful time overall, largely thanks to the incredibly warm hospitality. The highlight of our trip was definitely the beautiful grounds—we absolutely loved the unique experience of picking fresh alubokhra (plums) straight from the trees! ​Everything regarding the service and atmosphere was excellent, but there were a few issues during our stay that guests should keep in mind: ​Food Quantity & Variety: While the meals were clearly made with fresh ingredients, the portion sizes were quite small. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of food variety on the menu, making options pretty limited if you are staying for more than a day or two. ​Low Water Flow: The water pressure in the bathroom was quite low, which made showering a bit time-consuming. ​The Cow Shed Smell: There was a distinct smell wafting in from the nearby cow castle/shed at times. However, we completely understand that this is a hill and farm area, so a bit of rustic country life is to be expected! ​If you don't mind a few authentic farm-life quirks and smaller food portions, the wonderful people and the joy of picking fresh fruit make this a very charming place to stay.

We (two married couples) spent 1/2 day & 1 night at this home stay on last week of May. Writing pros and cons rating wise: ##Rating under 10: 1)Room quality - 3.5/10🙁 2)Food quality - 3.5/10😑 3)Food quantity - 3/10😶 4)Food varieties - 3/10😐 5)Behaviour of the family to us- 3.5/10 6) cleaning of rooms - 4.5/10😒 7) Location - 3/10😪 7) Food category -2/5😤 8) overall hygiene-2.5/5😓 9) overall experience - 4/10🙄 It was not that good experience for us. Pros-- only one person(owner) was active for us .. Cons-- 1)food QUANTITY and QUALITY were not satisfying . 😐 2)Taste matters.. quantity matters.both not satisfying.😞 3) cockroaches in the rooms 4)bad smell from toilet pipes in the rooms. 5) snacks quantity not satisfying for 4. 6) location not that impressive. Overall I can say, we won't go to this home stay in future. They should improve the quality. Excellent stay in this Homestay with lovely food and scenic beauty. Samrat, owner of this Homestay, was very attentive to each query/requirement and he is a very down-to-earth person. Highly recommended to all those who want to spend time in a peaceful place and very much away from a crowded one.

How green was my valley... Rokas Eco Retreat Farmstay at Dawaipani, Darjeeling, our first time experience was a life time memory to cherish... ROOM was excellent, cozy, with multiple plug points, washroom with modern toiletries, a large size window to behold the valley and on a clear day a great view of Kanchenjunga and a breathtaking night view of the lights of Darjeeling hill just opposite in front.... A drawing & dining area with sofa for 5-6 people SERVICE was fabulous, timely breakfast Lunch Evening snack and Dinner, a large size dining table also an open air umbrella arrangement and Bar-B-Q if you ask for, hot drinking water in flasks.... LOCATION wise a great tranquil environment where you can communicate with nature from dawn to dusk with several flora and fauna, shades of green will surely give a challenge to a 50 shade pastel box, an orchestra of combined chirping of different birds will make you wake up at the earliest and will not break the rhythm throughout the day, a slow walk on the clean pitched road with hair-pin curve and after each turn you will be 3 story up or down will mesmerize you.... Just you ought to be coming back here whenever you have 2-3 days to spare...

The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful mountain views and peaceful surroundings. It’s a perfect getaway spot for anyone looking to relax away from city noise. 4. The pricing felt reasonable considering the scenic location and overall experience.Definitely great value for money, especially for couples or small families or group of friends. 5. Basic conveniences like clean rooms, hot water, and accessibility were well maintained. Overall, a pleasant and memorable experience that I would recommend for a peaceful mountain retreat. So a deserving 5 star.

With a majestic view of the Kanchanjangha range, this farmstay is a nice place to relax in a serene environment. Wonderfully cooked foods are definitely added attractions to the place. The cordial behaviour of the host is also worth remembering.

We had a wonderful stay! The food was excellent, but what truly made the experience special was the staff—their behavior was so kind and attentive. A perfect getaway for the family.

Stayed here with family for 2 nights. Very close to Darjeeling yet away from all the chaos of the popular hill station. Rooms were spacious. Food was absolutely delicious. You can see Kanchenjunga during the day and Darjeeling during night. Stones throw away from Lamahatta as well. This is the only homestay in that area, so absolutely no rush of tourists and cars. As a birdwatcher, I saw many Himalayan species from our room as well on the trails towards Takdah Tea Estate. My only complain is about their plumbing. Water pressure in the bathroom taps is very low. If it can be increased by using pumps maybe, that would be really useful. Def recommended.

খুবই ভালো অভিজ্ঞতা। সম্রাট ও তার স্ত্রী দুজনেই অতিথিদের জন্য তাদের যেকোন সমস্যায় সদা সচেতন ছিলেন।আমার ৮৫ বছর বয়স্ক শাশুড়ীকে নিয়ে কোন অসুবিধা য় পড়তে হয় নি।তাও কিছু কথা না বললেই নয়: ১)রান্না অসম্ভব রকমের ভালোএবং ঘরোয়া তবে কম বয়সীদের ভাল নাও লাগতে পারে। ২)চাটনীর কথা উল্লেখ না করাটা অন্যায় হবে এত ভাল। ৩)আমাদের চাহিদা অনু্যায়ী সকালের চা দেওয়া হয়েছিল ঘরে যেটা খুব ভালো লেগেছে। ৪)সব ঘরে সুটকেস রাখার ও খোলার জন্য একটু বড় কোন টেবিল রাখা উচিত যেটার অভাব বোধ করেছি। ৫)খাবার জায়গায় যাওয়ার রাস্তাটা বয়স্ক মানুষদের জন্য এখনও ঠিকঠাক নয়।আশা করি কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই ঠিক হয়ে যাবে। ৬)আমাদের মত যারা প্রচুর বেড়ায় অনেক হোমস্টেতে থাকার অভিজ্ঞতা আছে তাদের তরফ থেকে একটা রিকোয়েস্ট ওই দুপুরে ডিম আর রাতে চিকেন এটা ফিক্সড না করে যদি সম্ভব হয় কিছু স্থানীয় খাবার শাকপাতা মাছ মিষ্টির ব্যাবস্থা রাখতে পারলে ভাল।এখানে যেহেতু দুধ অ্যাভেলেবেল তাই পনীরের বদলে ছানার কোপ্তা ইত্যাদি বা খিচুড়ি লোকে চেটেপুটে খাবে বলে আমার ধারনা। তবে অবশ্যই সেটা আগে জানতে হবে।
