Service was great so as the behaviour... Location wise it's in a very good place.. all over its a really good experience

From the very beginning this hotel was a complete disappointment. The owner never shared the location when I kept asking, making it impossible for my cab driver to find the place easily. During my 5-day stay, I had to force them every single day to clean the room, otherwise they wouldn’t bother. On the last day, they even cut off the water supply, claiming we had “used 2000 liters,” even though we had booked 2 rooms for 5 people. Till checkout time they kept lying that there was no light, while electricity was already there. Imagine being denied basic water in a hotel you paid for! They also overcharged for basic tea – I paid ₹200 for just 3 cups, and when I asked why, they simply said “nothing left.” The staff was rude, careless, and always full of excuses. This is not a hotel, it’s a scam. No service, no respect, no hospitality. Please don’t waste your money or peace of mind here – there are far better options around.

If you follow the right path, you can be in chowrasta in 10 minutes, it is a steep walk up several flights if stairs, mind you. Similarly, if you walk down - you'll be in the lower market in no time. The person at the reception is kind and quiet, you get a room at a place that feels like home. You can hang out in the living room area too. It's a good value too.

Visited darjeeling for some work and ended up booking this one. The staff behaviour is very very horrible. Their check out time is 10.30 which is very wired .. and when we were late by half an hour the staff knocked the door and used bad language and asked for extra money if we don’t check out. they clam to be a Homestay but they don’t have any facilities. Do not book this . You will regret !!

Except the water service everything was good

During my recent trip to Darjeeling, I stayed at Singh Residency, and it was an excellent experience. The location is ideal, just a short walk from Mall Road and conveniently close to the Mahakal Bengali Restaurant. The hotel owner was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. They even arranged hot water as per our request, which was much appreciated in the chilly weather. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the overall hospitality was top-notch. Singh Residency is a perfect choice for a cozy, budget-friendly stay with great service. Highly recommended for travelers!

A sweet abode to stay amidst the heart of the hills...Chowrasta n nearby places are in walking distance which will take 4-5mins Great Host daju lai..Felt like a big brother who's taking care of this place.. very helpfull dada, i had a great stay here, will come back again👍.

One of the most beautiful and well managed homestays I have ever lived in. Aditya is really helpful and very professional. I would highly recommend this place
