Waking up, drawing the curtains, and being greeted by the majestic, snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga right from the comfort of our bed was a truly magical experience. ​What truly sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. The room service was incredibly prompt, efficient, and always delivered with a warm smile. No request was too big or too small, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. ​Highly recommended! We will definitely be returning for another memorable stay.

Staying at Kolakham Delight in Kolakham was truly a memorable experience. The location is simply breathtaking, offering a stunning, uninterrupted view of Kanchenjunga that makes every morning feel magical. Watching the sunrise over the snow-capped peaks from room and balcony something that stays with you long after you leave. The food was another highlight of the stay—fresh, delicious, and prepared with genuine care. Every meal felt homely and comforting, adding to the cozy charm of the place. One of the most special parts of our stay was the evening bonfire. Sitting under the open sky, surrounded by nature, with the warmth of the fire and good conversations—it created moments we’ll always cherish. What really made the experience even better was the warm and attentive staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to make sure we were comfortable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, with great food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable mountain views, Kolakham Delight is definitely worth a visit.

Highly Recommended.. Stayed at Kolakham Delight for 5 days with my 4-month-old baby and had such a great experience! The stay was really comfortable, and the food was super tasty. The caretaker was always around whenever we needed anything, which made things so easy for us. Service was just amazing overall. The best part has to be the stunning Kanchenjunga view—you can literally see it right from your bed and even while eating in the dining area. Totally loved it!

Rooms are clean and tidy. The glass window needs to be cleaned to give a clear view of the mountains. Service and hospitality of Rai family is too good andakes you feel homely. Food is basic due to minimum resource as it is a bit remotely located but tastes very good. A nice place to enjoy nature in tranquility.

We stayed there from 25th to 27th October, 2025. This home stay has an excellent view. The hospitality of the family members was very good. Food was homely and tasteful. Room was clean and good enough. We enjoyed a lot with mesmerising view of full range of Kanchenjunga sitting at the balcony and lying on the bed through the window. Overall we had a great experience of beautiful and tranquil nature staying at Kolakham's Delight. Thank you.

Last month, we stayed at Kolakham Delight Homestay, and our experience there was truly wonderful. The rooms were beautifully maintained, and everything about the place felt warm and welcoming. Before arriving in Kolakham, I had been staying in Takdah. Unfortunately, while travelling from Takdah to Kolakham, I lost one of my trolley bags. Upon reaching the hotel, I informed Mr. Sundar Rai, the owner of Kolakham Delight, about the situation. He immediately offered his help and assured me that they would find my bag. True to his word, within just 24 hours, he managed to locate my bag in Kalimpong and personally arranged to have it brought back to me. I cannot thank him enough for his sincere effort and kindness — his sense of responsibility and genuine concern deeply touched me. The hospitality at Kolakham Delight was exceptional, and the food was delicious as well. Overall, it was a heartwarming experience, and I will always remember Mr. Sundar Rai and Kolakham Delight Hotel with gratitude.

Rooms are not clean. Pathetic food. Rude staff behavior. They serve lunch after 3pm and breakfast after 11am then start forcing you to take dinner at 8.30 because there is a big group for dinner. They don't even clean the blankets. It was so unhygienic and stinky. Food quantity is too less and tasteless. Staffs are so so rude. If you are searching a good view without service and value for money then u can go. Otherwise never visit here ever!!!!

Flush not working. Food is not eatable. Too much worms. Hospitality is not good. Any homestay is 10p times better than kolakham delight. Please stay away from this only.

The hospitality of the host (Sunderji and his family) is top notch. The food was homely and delicious. Rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. The panoramic (180 degree) view of the mountains from the balcony as well as from the room is amazing.The Kanchenjunga is also visible on a clear day.
