Beautiful place

Had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Kalimpong! The property is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. One of the best things about this place is that it’s perfect for every kind of traveller—whether you’re a solo backpacker, a couple, a family, or a group of friends. The dorms are well-maintained and offer excellent value for money, while the overall ambience of the property is calm and refreshing. We stayed two nights at the Grynko eyrie in Kalimpong and loved it. The place offers stunning views from every window. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The owner’s warm hospitality made our stay special—helpful, friendly, and served delicious home-cooked food. Highly recommended for anyone seeking calm, great views, and genuine local warmth.

The room is too good We stayed in pine suite room It’s big and spacious, also the area of that Homestay is tooo good and very beautiful. Also the food was so tasty we had our dinner there. Also if someone is going Kalimpong in bike you can stay there they have their own parking. Overall everything was good and beautiful 🫶🏻💯

A truly magical stay in Kalimpong. The property is absolutely beautiful—every corner feels like a fairytale and is decorated with so much care. The rooms are aesthetic, the service is professional, and the overall ambience is simply amazing. The food is okay, but honestly, the beauty of the property and the hospitality more than make up for it. What impressed us the most was the hospitality. We requested breakfast at 8 AM as we planned to check out by 8:30 AM. We knew it was quite early, but the staff happily prepared it before 8, which we really appreciated. The dormitory is also surprisingly pretty, aesthetic, and very well maintained. The private rooms are equally beautiful. Room prices are on the higher side, but considering the ambience, decor, and overall experience, they feel justified. If you’re a budget traveler, the dormitory is a great option as it’s much more affordable without compromising on the charm of the property. It’s the kind of place where you don’t even feel like going out because the stay itself is the experience. Would definitely visit again!

Its really a pleasure to stay in gingko eyrie...its the best part of our vacation. I am missing badly sheru,sheri and rest of our new paw friends...will definitely visit again and recommend every body to go there once for a cosy holiday trip...

The best experience! I still can’t get over this beautiful place; the property is just so surreal. I didn’t have the heart to leave and come back home, as it literally feels like a home away from home, but with some truly mesmerizing views. I wish to visit again soon! Special thanks to the owners, their mother, and the staff for making our stay absolutely perfect. Also, I already miss the fur babies , I had the best time of my life with them! 🥹❤️

The Gingko Eyrie is a cozy homestay, which actually feels like HOMEstay in the lap of the mountains. We loved everything, every part, every corner of the property, literally EVERYTHING. Marcellina is such a wonderful host. Each of the staff members is very friendly. We were always greeted with a smile whenever we asked for anything. Food was amazing too. We stayed in the attic room which had a great view of the mountains and had a personal terrace. Room service was excellent. Super neat and clean aesthetic homestay. Also, Sheru, Sheri, and Jackie are the most adorable and loving pets you'll ever find. The rest of the pups are sooo sooo cuteee. We would love to come back here again. ❤️❤️

I made a booking in their hotel for 1 night in their homestay over phone after going through some Pintaresty images and reels in insta. Initially I made the booking in their pine room but then I asked them to upgrade my booking in their cozy room || as it has a balcony view of mountain.They did it. Which costed me 2800 one night without breakfast.During booking when I asked to show me the images of the room which I booked they only provided me a collage image of their room from which I thought it was pretty good. But in reality when I went to their place got to know their main kitchen is just outside this room. Which they call cozy room || .. It is very noisy. Cooks are cooking food all the time. Now coming to the second issue. There are so many insects in the room as well as in the washroom. You can't even open the door of the balcony. I understand it is a nature friendly place but if the insects of the nature bites you hard when you are not really harming them neither causing any disturbance to the harmony then ofcourse it should be a concern.as you went for a holiday and not to get bites through out the night of the insects..i couldn't sleep though out the night because of the insects. Now coming to the third issue for which I have booked this room is the balcony which has mountain view room now you have to stand and watch the mountain view as the seating place they have are torned and very small in size where you can't seat.and can see the railings of the balcony. The room for which I have paid 2800 does not match the basic expectations. Now coming to the another problem I faced. I lost one of my belonging of mine just nearly 900m away in a cafe. I called her asked her if she can send any one of her staff atleast to get the thing and keep it in her place.But She completely denied telling she and team is super busy with their homestay so can't help me in anyway. It was one such disappointing stay I have ever had.

We had a very pleasant stay from 9 - 12 May 2026 at Gingko Eyrie Home stay, Kalimpong. The property is nestled in the valley between Deolo and Durpin hills, offering an elegant view of the majestic Kanchunjunga on a clear day along side a picturesque mountainous landscape. The Home stay has lots of indoor activities for kids and a bunch of lovely pets to keep them amused. Must compliment the good hygiene maintained in terms of cleanliness and quality of linens. We savoured each and every meal starting from breakfast to traditional Gorkha thali. Staff here are very cordial and always eager to serve the best. We enjoyed the evenings at the lawn with some great music. A perfect vacation in the hills with a homely atmosphere. The owners personal touch to all the facets must be the secret for guests to experience a 5 star stay.

Lovely homestay in Kalimpong. The entire place has been done up well, everyone is warm and friendly, the food's yumm, and most importantly it's quiet and unhurried. Definitely a place to come for a few days to unwind...

It was a great experience for me staying at Gingko Eyrie.Superb hospitality..it felt like home away from home🫶.Not only that every meal was super delicious.It felt like home made food served with 😘 Every staff is very helpful and friendly.And also it's very safe staying there.Overall I just loved it😍
