Amazing stay! From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed into the family. Sahil was away for work but I met his mum and dad, Neelu and Sarad, they are just the sweetest and kindest humans. Sarad is very keen to improve his English so please speak to him when you’re there, he also helped me with lots of recommendations on where to go and Neelu is the BEST cook ever! She gracefully accepted my vegan needs and every evening cooked me something so delicious! The room was spotless and very spacious which was great as I stayed a week. The roof terrace is so beautiful to see the Kanchenjunga view at all times of day. The location is a 20 minute shared taxi ride away from the centre of Darjeeling to Lebong and then a 7 minute walk down a steep road to the Homestay. I didn’t mind this at all as I liked to be back inside every evening and enjoy Neelu’s cooking and I loved the peace and quiet. It’s cold in winter so pack warm clothes! There’s beautiful walks straight from the Homestay too!

Quiet Nest truly feels like a home away from home. We didn’t get a chance to meet the host, Sahil, but his parents and family members were always just a call away and made sure their guests had the best possible experience during their stay. Sharad Uncle and Neelu Aunty were extremely welcoming, kind, and full of love. We stayed there for five days and enjoyed the yummiest “aunty ke haath ka khana”. Neelu Aunty cooks delicious food and serves it with so much warmth and care. Sharad Uncle also helped us with cab facilities from Siliguri to their place and even took us sightseeing around Darjeeling. I will always be grateful for all the help and kindness he showed us. To top it all off, we had the craziest New Year celebration there with everyone. Thank you once again, Sharad Uncle, Neelu Aunty, Shiksha, and Sahil, for hosting us so wonderfully. We miss you all and will definitely come back again in the future. 💛

We spent 4 days at the Quiet Nest, and simply stating that it was an awesome experience would be a massive understatement. The instructions provided to reach the stay are precise, we needed just a little help from some very kind locals and Sahil's father to figure things out. We checked in the next day of Diwali, and our first evening was spent listening to the locals singing their traditional songs and prayers. It was already so refreshing to see live music everywhere, and especially with the views that the stay offers. It's magnificent, breathtaking, and as honest as the pictures show you. The room was clean, tidy and impeccable in it's presentation. It has all the necessaties you'd need for your day, and if we needed something extra, Sahil's dad was always ready to help us with that, just a phone call away. Now, my personal highlight, was the delicious food prepared by Aunty ( Sahil's mom ). Such reasonably priced items for such great quality food and service. We always had breakfast at home, before heading out for the day. For anyone wondering what to eat, definitely check out the Special Nepali Thali. We chose the non-veg thali each time! Other than this, Sahil's father also invited us to their private post Diwali celebrations. We never expected such hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt invited and we had such an amazing time at their cottage where the party was held, singing karaoke and dancing with their family and some other guests as well. Finally, we were dropped off by car back to the Quiet Nest. We will one hundred percent always choose to visit the Quiet Nest any time we're back visiting Darjeeling and Lebong. We're so happy with our decision to go and stay at their place. Aunty and Uncle were the sweetest, and I'm sure Sahil is as well. We unfortunately didn't get to meet him, but he definitely made sure we were welcomed and had a comfortable time. P.S Peanut and Jessy are the cutest!

My recent stay at 'A Quite Nest' homestay offered a truly unique Darjeeling experience, far removed from the crowded and cliché town center. While it's a bit further from Chowk Bazaar, for a peaceful traveler like myself who enjoys the raw nature of the mountains away from the chaos, the journey was absolutely worth it. Our host, Sahil, was absolutely perfect for my co-traveler and me. He wasn't just a host; I can genuinely say we've gained a friend in Darjeeling. He and his family were amazing, and a big shoutout must go to Sahil's mom, Auntie, who prepares absolutely delicious meals. If you want to taste the real Darjeeling and enjoy an amazing mountain view from your rooftop, then 'A Quite Nest' is a must-stay.

Good place to stay if you are looking to away from the hustle and bustle of the Darjeeling Town. The host’s family is really welcoming and super friendly. The Host (Sahil) is a great human being and is always available to assist. The view from the homestay is mesmerising.

Guys, I didn’t know a place could leave such a deep impact on my trip until I stayed at A Quiet Nest Homestay. Sahil is honestly one of the nicest people you could ever meet more like a brother we travelled together had tea at night under the clear sky of lebong valley. He made me feel completely at home. Uncles stories with aunty’s delicious Nepali meals were unforgettable. And the view uff man absolutely breathtaking. You can see the entire Lebong valley and even catch a stunning view of Kanchenjunga peak right from their place. I’m definitely going to visit them again.

Prettiest BnB I’ve been to till date. Everything was perfect and the view from the room and balcony were stunning. Aunty’s homemade thukpa and momo were the cherry on top. Sahil was a wonderful host who turned into a dear friend. Big recommend - not only for the stunning view from the place but the undeniable warmth of the family that you’re bound to experience on your stay here! Can’t wait to be back ♥️
