It's like living in a Farmstay with its own vegetable garden, fruit orchard, hens, cows, goats, cats and guard dogs spread over 2 acres of residential property barricaded, with in-campus car parking for atleast 4-5 big SUV or 7-8 hatchbacks. There is sufficient space between houses in the campus to walk around and be seated anywhere. Actually this property is on a slope, so majestic views of snow capped Kanchenjunga mountain ranges and Darjeeling is visible straightaway. The owner's family is joint so getting bored or feeling loneliness is not a point in this campus. I arrived at their homestay during Durga Puja vacations and a whole lot of their family's 8-9 middle school kids had arrived there and it was great fun for my daughter too. The patron and his family members are very cordial towards their guests. Service is perfect on-demand with 3 meals and two tea-snacks included in the tariff. There is separate house for cooking and dining area, a separate hut for fire-wood cooking. Sleeping rooms are good enough. The only issue is arriving here, a FWD car struggles with wheel-spin on steep uphills here, so a RWD car like bolero, sumo or scorpio is advisable for this location. There is no commercialization in this village so take care to bring your daily needs from any shop in Ghum, which you won't get here. This homestay also has a small tea-leaf garden although the village itself is surrounded by the large Takdah tea-leaf garden. Overall it's a place to relax and hike around the property & village, and heal your soul.

Nawang homestay, an excellent place to stay. We spent two nights and two days here with family and children in December. We enjoyed the spectacular view of Kanchanjanga from our cottage window. The homestay includes a tea garden and a vast area for harvesting. We are really impressed by the warm and cordial behavior of the homestay owner. Everything is very well organized and nicely coordinated. People are very disciplined and hard working, they have done everything possible to make our stay an unforgettable experience. This is indeed a lifetime experience for us, being so close to nature, dense Lamahatta Pine forest, breathtaking view of Kanchanjanga, so neat and clean village road, good food. Also special mention to the local car drivers, they are so skilled that we have always felt safe with steering in their hands.

We went there one year ago . Very good budget friendly neat and clean homestay. I stayed there one night with my family and friends. This homestay is extremely isolated with nature . Here your ears will soothe with chirping of birds . This homestay has its own tea garden . Upper road towards monastery went through forests . I went there for a walk and it was my lifetime experience. I felt there submerged in nature. No human being was there ; only sounds of forests ; various sounds of birds that I never heard before .Rooms were good . Night view form my window was just spellbound. Throughout Night I awoke myself and saw how crescent 🌙 was crossing the sky ; from back side Hills of Darjeeling towards Hills of Gangtok. Bright starry Night above me and sparkling ✨️ necklace of Darjeeling and Gangtok Hills from my bedside window ,,,,I just can't describe,,,, I wish to be there once again. The Night was really memorable. Behavior of homestay woners were very good. They were good people. Lamahatta pine forests were seen from my window and the great Sleeping Buddha ,,,,,All I saw through my window .
