Good place to stay in

I stayed at Augusta Villa in Darjeeling in the Orchid Room with my friend, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing stays we've had. The property is located quite far downhill, so getting to Mall Road for food meant a tiring uphill walk every time. While food delivery was available, the room was so unhygienic that we didn't even feel comfortable eating there. The biggest issue was the room itself. It had a strong damp, musty smell, as if the walls had developed mold from prolonged moisture. There was no sunlight or proper ventilation, which made the room feel cold, stuffy, and unhealthy. The dampness was so severe that we kept sneezing and felt uncomfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom was dirty and poorly maintained, and the floor was visibly unclean. Overall, the room gave the impression that it hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. We initially planned to stay in the Orchid Room for our entire trip, but because of the poor conditions, we had to change rooms for the last night despite our budget constraints. Even then, we spent most evenings outside because we simply didn't feel like returning to the room. It never felt comfortable or welcoming. I would not recommend staying in the Orchid Room unless the property undergoes significant improvements in cleanliness, ventilation, and maintenance.

Had stayed here last year and loved the stay plus the location is so convenient so came back again this year and booked the stay here again

An absolute gem in Darjeeling! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the bustling Mall Road and main town area, yet tucked away enough for a peaceful retreat. The rooms are incredibly cozy, spacious, and feature convenient kitchenettes. What truly made our stay special was the excellent, personalized service from the hosts. Highly recommend

Had a pleasant stay overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around. While there were a few minor issues, nothing significantly affected the experience. The hotel offers good value for money, and I would consider staying here again in the future.

Honestly had the most wonderful time @ Augusta Villa in Darjeeling. I’m writing this review just as I arrived home from my birthday trip. Location was the best as it was close to Chowrastha which was an essential point of our trip and the room was amazing and spacious! We were provided with everything necessary and also we could just lock the apartment and go out and come back any time. I had the most amazing trip as well all thanks to Augusta Villa for letting us stay with them at such an affordable price ! Looking forward to our next trip !

Rooms are good and host is good.. Only thing to note is it is bit far from the railway Station, but walkable distance to Church and Market Place.

Loved staying in this hotel, hotel owner is very polite and respectful, zoo is just 600 meter distance they have rented scooty facility. Highly Recommended

We got a ₹500 no parking challan as they don't have a parking spot, even though we repeatedly asked if it was safe to park there and whether we would get any challan. The rooms were good, but you will have to walk a long route downhill to reach the place. Tej is a good guy, but he shouldn't have lied to us about the parking.

It was a very nice experience. The place is aesthetic and very beautiful. The rooms were very sweet and comfortable. The people here were very helpful and friendly in nature. The terrace view was extremely beautiful. It’s the best place, very close to Mall Road and also near to the viewpoint.

The place is located close to Mall Road. The owners were very warm and helpful. The rooms were clean, cosy, and aesthetic. They even had a guitar in the room, so if you’re a music lover, you can enjoy a cosy music session. Overall, it’s a great place for families and friend groups.

Rooms were clean. But electric wire extension cord and electric kettle given to us was falty. Small heater was 👍 ven when we asked which was heating very small spot yet charged Rs. 500/- every day. The location is quite down and far from Mall. Garden outside is not very beautiful and well maintained.

Lovely place. Great location. Just 1 km from main market. Host was very helpful and we weren’t bothered at all during our week long stay.
