Darjeeling Homestay Mangkhim

We had a wonderful stay at Mangkhim Homestay! Bijoy Rai is an extremely well-mannered, funny, and welcoming host who made our stay even more enjoyable. His sister was equally kind and helpful throughout our visit. They thoughtfully offered us raincoats, gave us access to the kitchen whenever needed, and even treated us to complimentary tea and breakfast. Such warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home! A small request to fellow tourists: please help maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and use water responsibly. Darjeeling faces a water shortage, so every little effort to save water can make a difference. Thank you, Bijoy and family, for the lovely hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and homely stay! 😊

I must say thanks to Google ai to suggest me this awesome home stay mangkhim and Mr.Bijay Auncle (the woner) who helped me a lot from start to end my trip. There warm hospitality mesmerised me. When I enter there homestay I found it's like my own home. I liked most the night hill view what wondering me from the balcony or the room big window. Bathroom was clean and specious, spotless rooms around. I thanks Bijoy Auncle for his kind hospitality and keep guest easier there trip. I must recommended Mangkhim homestay who looking for family or couple peaceful stay.

We stay here for 2days with my family on 24 August,2026. The service was best. Owner and his family member's behaviour was polite and Great. Room and TOILET are neat and clean ,well maintained, geyser facility working well. Room's view Awesome. I strongly recommend the Homestay for Staying at Darjeeling. Homesaty is the best in all aspects but the problem is only a little steep road. Which will not be a problem for ordinary people but it is a bit difficult for those who have back problems or Arthritis.

A 10/10 experience at Darjeeling homestay Mangkhim. Bijoy daju owns the place and he is super helpful with everything. What I loved the most about this place is Bijoy daju tells you about the rooms, location, etc exactly how it is . Integrity is his core value which we all need and must have.The room rates are very reasonable. The balcony is amazing. Wifi is available.You have a provision to book breakfast and other meals provided you inform him in advance. The location is too good as you can walk literally everywhere as it's right beside chowrasta. 7 mins walk from Glenarys and 30 mins walk to Darjeeling station, Nitingale park ,zoo etc. Just keep in mind that you must be fit to walk uphill ( the road is not bad just uphill ) that's the only requirement.

Must visit there owner is so nice and the best homestay with views

I was solo travelling, and was a first time visitor to Darjeeling on June 2026. All my skepticism and fears disappeared thanks to the friendly and courteous host and hostess at Mangkhim homestay. I couldn't have asked for a better, safer and budget friendly accomodation all thanks to the generous hosts. They even helped me with tips and suggestions on economical sightseeing trips. The only bothersome thing was the steep incline but nevertheless can't expect level roads in the mountain region. Highly appreciate their helpful attitude and their availability all the time for any requirements.

Rooms are clean and cozy. I've visited the place two times. The owner is very friendly and location is very good but it's not suitable for elderly people.

Literally the best homestay I've ever stayed in. Bijoy Ji is truly a gem of a person. From helping us park our car to connecting us with a trustworthy and honest taxi driver, he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. No matter what we needed, he was always happy to help. One thing that really stood out was his honesty. He is completely transparent and tells you everything about the rooms, the positives as well as any limitations. He doesn't hide anything or try to oversell, which made us trust him even more. It's rare to come across someone so genuine. His passion and creativity are reflected in every corner of the property. The rooms are beautifully designed, thoughtfully decorated, exceptionally well maintained, and spotlessly clean. To all future guests: this place genuinely feels like a home away from home. When you stay here, I hope you'll treat it with the same love and care as you would your own home. It's a special place, and it deserves to be appreciated.

I had spent 2 nights here and I must stay this homestay was one of the best budget friendly view homestays I have had ever stayed in and around Darjeeling. Room and Toilet: Very clean. View: Awesome. Though one can not see the complete Kanchanjungha range from here, but the view of hills, valleys and gliding clouds is mesmerizing. Water: Drinking water was provided free of cost. One electric kettle was kept in the common place. We used to boil the drinking water in the kettle. For hot water in bathroom, immersion heater is provided. That is more than enough if 2/3 people are staying in one room. Location: Near to Darjeeling mall, but lower Tung Sung Road is inclined, so people having arthritis may have issues walking to and fro mall from this homestay. Otherwise it is at a distance of 5 mins walk and you will get several kind of shops nearby. Though Dr Zakir Hussain and surrounding roads are a bit dirty. Host and Service: Host is the owner of this homestay; very helpful, polite, humble behaved. Their family is running this homestay. It is not a usual hotel, so they maintain it as if they are staying in the rooms. We tasted their Darjeeling tea which was reasonably priced and far better than the tea you get in the mall. We have really enjoyed here. Hope we shall visit here again.

Had an amazing stay at Darjeeling Homestay Mangkhim. The best thing about this place is the homely feeling and the wonderful family who runs it. Bijoy Rai, the owner, is a very humble and helpful person. He is also a school teacher and helped us with everything during our stay. Just give him a call and he will arrange and sort everything for you very smoothly. His family is also awesome. Their small boy works so hard and helps with almost everything by hand with a smile on his face. Aunty’s homemade food was absolutely finger-licking delicious — one of the best homestay foods I’ve had in Darjeeling. The location is also very convenient. Darjeeling Mall is only around 350 meters away via Astabal Road, so you can easily walk around and explore the town. You can stay here like a proper homestay experience or even take packages arranged by them. Overall, highly recommended if you want a peaceful, comfortable, and family-like stay in Darjeeling.

Its a very clean and peaceful homestay. The view from the rooms are amazing.The rooms are cozy and clean. The toilets are clean. Its 5-10mins walking distance from mall road. The owner and the people are very helpful. Kitchen facility is also available here. Safe for solo travelers too( male and female). I personally love this homestay and whenever i visit darjeeling i stay here so i recommend it to all. Must give it a try. 😊💓
