Out of all the homestays I've visited so far, this has been my absolute favorite. Everything about the stay was exceptional.
The rooms were very comfortable and cozy, the hospitality was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. The owner, Mangal Da, is one of the warmest and most welcoming people you'll meet. He even sings beautifully, which made the experience even more special, and his home-cooked meals were simply amazing.
The view is a perfect 10/10—without a doubt one of the most beautiful mountain views I've ever experienced. The atmosphere is peaceful and charming, surrounded by lush greenery and blooming roses. Whether it was daytime with the clear mountain views or the cozy, serene nights, every moment felt magical.
This place truly felt like a home away from home. If you're looking for a peaceful mountain getaway with breathtaking views, delicious food, and heartfelt hospitality, I can't recommend this homestay enough. It was genuinely one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. ❤️🏔️

Excellent stay and greater experience. Disclaimer : the stay can be reached climbing a fair good number of steps down from the road, remember you have to climb them up as well. But trust me it is totally worth it. The view, the stay, the environment. It is far from the usual hustle of life. Food served is all organic from Mr. Mangal's garden. He cookes great food and talks and entertains you even better. ☺️
There were earthworms everywhere due to the rainy season and so many trees but that is how the forest and hills are. If you cn ignore that the place is heavenly. It has a shaded seating area for lunch or dinner. You have your great view from there while you eat your bamboo chicken. It was just awesome! And nothing like I have every tasted.
There is a small treehouse as well.. i sat there for hours long listening to the green, the hills, its birds... felt euphoric... this is absolutely the right way to disconnect. If you arw a bookworm, carry it there, you will die out of happiness. If you love listening, listen to slow songs or just water/rain audios. Or simply sit there.
The rooms were decent, the water chilled and clean. They ahve the same clean water for drinking as well. Yes, it is that clean and mineral infused from the mountains.
The service was excellent. He was very polite and helpful in his interactions

Had a great stay at Ashika Homestay in Phurun Gaon. Mangal Da is friendly and helpful, and the hospitality is excellent. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

নর্থ বেঙ্গল এর offbeat খারখা গাঁও গিয়েছিলাম যখন তখনই ডিসাইড করে নিয়েছিলাম ফুরুন গাঁও যাবো । অফবিট প্লেস বরাবরই আমার ভালো লাগে । চুপচাপ শান্ত নিরিবিলি পরিবেশে বসে সময় কাটানো আরো সুন্দর হয়ে যায় যখন সামনে পাহাড় থাকে ।
এটা ফুরুন গাঁও এর Ashika Homestay এর একটা রুম , যার ব্যালকনি থেকে এরম পাহাড় দেখা যায় । আর বাইরে বেরোলে আরো সুন্দর অপূর্ব দৃশ্য ।
বৃষ্টির সময় পাহাড়ের সবুজ চোখের মনের শান্তি এনে দেয় ।
এই হোমস্টের ওনার মঙ্গল ভাইয়া ও অতিথিয়েতা করতে কৃপণতা করেন না ।
তাই এই জুন থেকে সেপটেম্বের এর মধ্যে দুদিনের ছুটি নিয়ে কেউ যদি এখানে ঘুরে আসে টানা তিন চারমাসের রিফ্রেশমেন্ট তো পাবেই ।

The calmness of the place felt almost therapeutic, untouched by the chaos of the world.
What made the experience truly memorable, however, was Mangal Da — not merely the owner, but the soul of the homestay. Warm-hearted, humorous, and effortlessly welcoming, he carried the rare gift of making strangers feel like old friends. His songs in the quiet mountain mornings added a magical charm to the atmosphere, as though the hills themselves had found a voice.
