My husband and me had a very good stay at this property which is surrounded by mountains and has a river flowing nearby. It was a great getaway for a night. The most commendable part was the hospitality and food provided by the host and the staff. Really appreciate it. The only drawback is that the road from Darjeeling to this place is really bad currently and is being repaired. Also commuting is a bit difficult as there are only few vehicles that go that way. The owner can provide vehicle on request for a charge though. Also, a bit more heating in the rooms in winter would be great. However, the overall experience was really good and I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway near Darjeeling.
Loved being there; it was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave. Every corner felt inviting, full of character, warmth, and stories waiting to be discovered. I wish I could have had more days to slow down, wander freely, and truly take it all in without watching the clock. Roaming around, observing small details, meeting people, and soaking in the atmosphere made the place feel alive and memorable. Time passed far too quickly, and leaving felt rushed. Hopefully, there will be another chance to return, spend more days exploring, and relive that sense of wonder
It was a wonderful experience staying at the Tathagata firm . The cottages and the tents were well maintained. The vibes of the firm is also very positive even the host were also very friendly . I will definitely recommend this homestay .
Had an absolutely amazing stay! 🌿 The place had everything — adventure, great hospitality, and the most refreshing unlimited tea (yes, unlimited! 😄). Surrounded by lush greenery, it’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Honestly, don’t even think twice before booking — just go for it!
Great place, staff is super friendly , food is healthy and delicious, surroundings are best for nature lovers , must visit for Darjeeling

Best place to visit
Didn’t had a great experience in the stay. Had a very horrified experience. Ants were there all over the bed and floor. The rooms there had a dead lizard in the window area and also saw a baby cobra snake. The snake was hiding behind the window curtain and was about to bite one of my friend. But he moved at the right time. The snake was later killed by the Farm owner.
Tathagata farmstay: whispering tranquility.
This place speaks to your soul not with words but with breeze from the trees, chirping birds and warmth of the sun rising over the majestic hills.
Located in the valley of lebong, this place shows us how important it is to be close to nature.
The mornings began with symphonies of birds, and smell of dew on grass and wet soil.
While sipping your cup of morning tea and basking in the glory of the rising sun ,this place will make u forget the noise ,the rush the conflict of citylife.
Peace , calmness, solitude Nirvana will seep into your bones and make u return to the lap of nature and understand that slowing down is necessary and simple things in life provide the most joy in life.
Made from wood, stone and cloth the cottages are a part of nature itself. The aroma tea, home cooked fresh breakfast will make u remember your childhood memories.
Nighttime was sacred.Concert of crickets under the clear sky with constellations of stars with roasted food and stories with my friends will never make me forget this place. Smiling faces of Dazu and Didi and their selfless hospitality has inspired me a lot.
