We really liked the property and were interested in booking. However, when we spoke to the owner directly, he quoted us a higher price, so we decided to book online as the online pricing was lower. Unfortunately, the price was then increased specifically for our preferred dates. This felt misleading and unfair. It’s a shame because we genuinely liked the property, but due to this experience, we decided not to book.

My stay at this Mountain view homestay was truly wonderful. The owner's host were incredibly warm, welcoming & made me feel at home. The room were comfortable, we'll maintained & hygienic with all the essential amenities. The location is pretty good place to relax. The foods were fresh home cooked & delicious. What impressed me the most was the genuine superb hospitality & attention to every little details. I highly recommend this homestay in Darjeeling. I really thanks for such an amazing stay in Mountain view Homestay. I would love to visit again.

What a Homestay ! First we(me and 3 friends) wanted to stay in the tripper Hostel, but because of its distance from Mall road and Chowrasta. We went to this homestay and MANNN, what an absolute decision we took. According to me, this was the 2nd best decision we took, first still remains going to Darjeeling. And believe me, this homestay is one of the worth trying homestay. Firstly, It was properly clean and hygienic, no stains on anything, no dirty washroom, nothing like that. Secondly the view I had in morning and in night. I still can't forget the view from the window. And at last, the owner, he was such peace-loving, so respectful and helping nature person. He helped in everything we needed and whenever we needed. It is just that, the homestay is like 1km from Mall road and Chowrasta but the main problem is not the distance , it's the slope and roads of Darjeeling. It make 1km look like 2-3 km. But it just look like 2-3km when you are with your friends. Oh and they also provide drop and pickup services so you don't even have to walk.

Mountain View Homestay is exceptional; the rooms are well-maintained and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The owner is a wonderful host—extremely polite and always ready with the best local guidance. The food was a highlight, especially the delicious, home-cooked breakfast, lunches and dinners as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

I recently stayed at "Mountain View Homestay" in Darjeeling with 6 of my friends for three days, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We booked two rooms, and both were very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with wooden interiors. The best part was the clear view of Kanchenjunga and Sandakphu right from our room. One early morning, Rajen ji knocked on our door and asked us to look outside—when we opened the window, we were amazed by the breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga. It was a magical moment we will always remember. The owner, Rajen ji, is a very humble and polite person. He arranged our car from NJP to the homestay and always guided us on what to do and where to go. He made us feel completely at home. The food he cooked was delicious, just like homemade meals, and the barbecue chicken on the last day was especially outstanding. He also provided his own car for sightseeing at a very reasonable price, which made our trip very convenient. A special thanks to his driver, Dip, who was a wonderful person and made our journey even more enjoyable. I would rate this homestay 5 out of 5. I highly recommend everyone reading this review to visit and enjoy a beautiful trip to Darjeeling. Thank you!

Nice and clean homestay with a really amazing view

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it truly felt like a second home. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable. The highlight of the place is the breathtaking view of the entire Kanchenjunga range, visible right from the large room window as well as from the balcony—an experience you won’t forget. Another advantage is its convenient location, as the homestay is quite close to Mall Road (about a 25-minute walk). What made the stay even more special was the host—extremely cooperative and helpful. They also prepared delicious food, which added a homely touch to the experience. He guided us in planning our itinerary efficiently and helped us manage everything within a good budget. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable stay. Would love to come back and stay here again someday.

The homestay is a nice property at a very fair price. It lies downhill from the Mall Road. But the host arranges your pick up and drop if you request. Hence the distance/location is not an issue. The host and his family are really very humble. The food prepared by them is also delicious. Also there’s a facility to cook your own meal. Overall it was a very satisfying stay for us.

Fantastic stay with our host. Got tonsee the mountains from the balcony with our freshly cooked breakfast - a once in a lifetime experience. Our host was so helpful in advising the best places (Peace Pagoda, Happy Valley Tea Plantation, Darjeeling Himalayan Train station, Tibet center and downtown Darjeeling) to visit in Darjeeling and how to get to them - organised a great driver for a half day. Also great advice on getting to Sikkim with the Jeep taxis. Top place to stay!! Thank you so much. A tip for travelers, Darjeeling is cold, so adjust your clothing accordingly- that means also your sleeping gear 😉
