A Quiet Nest Cottage

I stayed at this location with my friends last week. The rooms, balcony, garden and terrace everything was just perfect. I loved the place where this cottage is located. We experienced a beautiful view of clouds, greenery and rainfall at the same location. If you are planning to stay at a quiet place with your friends and family I will recommend this cottage as well as their homestay or restaurant.

A truly hidden gem and one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed. We stayed here for 6 days as a group of 4, and by the time we checked out, it felt like leaving our own home. The property offers beautiful mountain views, complete peace away from city noise, huge private parking for cars and bikes, and enough space for even 7–8 people. The kitchen and washrooms were very clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a geyser. The biggest highlight was the hospitality. Mr. Sarad Gurung is an extremely humble, polite, and helpful host who was always available on call whenever we needed anything. Special thanks to Mr. Sahil Gurung as well for his support and kindness. They made us feel like family rather than guests. The food served was tasty, affordable, and felt like home-cooked meals. There is also a beautiful peaceful viewpoint within walking distance where you can relax and enjoy nature. Honestly, the stay was so comfortable that many times we felt lazy to go sightseeing and simply enjoyed the views from the property itself. If you are looking for a peaceful escape from the rush of daily life, this place is a must-visit. I highly recommend staying for at least 4–5 days to fully experience it. Thank you, Mr. Sarad Gurung and Mr. Sahil Gurung, for giving us unforgettable memories. We already miss this place and will definitely return again. ❤️🏔️🙏

I had a wonderful stay here. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures and is very well maintained, clean, and peaceful. It truly felt like a perfect getaway. The hosts were extremely kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the stay. I especially appreciate their honesty and professionalism — I had accidentally made a double payment and they returned it immediately without any hassle or questions. That level of trust and integrity is rare and deserves appreciation. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting. I would happily stay here again in the future.

Unser Aufenthalt im “a quiet Nest: cottage” war von Anfang bis Ende eine tolle Erfahrung. Super Gastgeber, schöne Unterkunft und entspannte Lage. Lage Wie in der Beschreibung erwähnt liegt es etwas abseits. Lebong ist ca 7 km von Darjeeling entfernt und das Haus ist dann nochmal am Rande. Sehr zuvorkommend wurden wir deshalb an unserem Ankunftstag von Sahils Vater mittig in Lebong abgeholt und zum Haus gebracht. An sich gibt es ein gut funktionierendes SharedTaxi System mit dem man von Lebong aus gut nach Darjeeling kommt. Die Strecke bis zu dem Platz von wo aus sie losfahren ist ca 1 km lang und eher steil. Wir fanden es aber gut machbar. Zu mindest von Darjeeling aus zurück kann man auch eigene Taxis bekommen. (Anders herum haben wir es nicht versucht - aber dann bräuchte man vermutlich eine Telefonnummer von einem Taxifahrer). In Lebong selbst gibt es Geschäfte und Restaurants, sodass man sich gut versorgen kann. (Man kann außerdem auch Essen direkt bei Sahils Familie bestellen - sehr zu empfehlen) Soviel zu der Lage, die wir übrigens sehr genossen haben, da es sehr ruhig ist und man einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge hat. Haus Es gibt einen Garten vor dem Haus, eine Terrasse dahinter und eine überdachte Dachterasse. Alles ist sehr liebevoll dekoriert. Der Innenbereichen ist gemütlich und stilvoll eingereichtet. Die Sauberkeit ist sehr gut. An manchen Stellen gibt es Schimmel (nicht in den Schlafzimmern), vermutlich durch das Klima und die Jahreszeit (Monsun) bedingt. Dennoch haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Kontakt Sahil und seine Familie sind einfach spitze. Die Kommunikation hat super funktioniert, er antwortet sehr schnell und ist bei Anliegen entgegenkommend und flexibel. Sie bieten Ausflüge direkt an, man könnte entspannt über sie was organisieren lassen. Wir wurden super betreut und alles hat zuverlässig funktioniert. Toller Gastgeber.
