A homestay with an amazing view! Everyone was warm and friendly, especially Aunty and Coco. It's a bit far from Maal Road, but the peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery make it totally worth it. We loved our stay and would happily visit again. 😊

Amazing stay! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Special thanks to Yugnish Tamang and Paribesh Rai for their helpful and warm behavior. They made our stay very comfortable. The atmosphere felt just like home, and the location was peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience. I really wanted to meet the owner because his nature is very helpful. When we were supposed to arrive the next day, he had already shared all the details a day in advance. Unfortunately, he had gone out of station for some work, so I couldn’t meet him. No problem — I’ll definitely meet him next time when I visit again.

We stayed at Wanderpine Homestay during our recent trip to Darjeeling and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing, especially considering that the rooms looked very different in the videos and photographs shown during booking. The biggest challenge was the location. The homestay is around a 15–20 minute walk from Darjeeling Mall Road through very narrow and steep lanes. After sunset, the route becomes extremely dark as there are hardly any streetlights. During our stay, it was raining heavily, and returning from the Mall in the evening through slippery, poorly lit roads while vehicles passed by at speed was quite difficult and uncomfortable. The homestay is located deep inside interior lanes, and we initially struggled to locate it, which delayed our check-in. We had booked the MAP plan rooms located downstairs. The kitchen and dining area were attached to these rooms. Before booking, I had specifically asked whether other guests would use this dining space, and I was informed that they might dine there if they wished. However, we were not told that the staff managing the homestay would spend most of their time there until late at night, using the kitchen and dining area. Since the downstairs rooms opened into this common space, it did raise privacy concerns, especially for female guests. Coming to the rooms themselves, they were not maintained to the standard we had expected. The rooms felt shabby, had inadequate lighting, and there was a noticeable damp smell. The washbasin was leaking, there was stagnant water inside our room, and a bucket filled with dirty water was kept just outside. The blankets also had an unpleasant odour. Overall, the downstairs rooms appeared quite different from the images used to promote the property.Downstairs room Can be okay for male groups ..but not for family. That said, I would like to mention the positives as well. The dinner we had was delicious—simple, well-cooked, and tasty. The behaviour of the staff was polite and respectful throughout our stay. A special mention to Parivesh, who cooked for us and was extremely sweet, helpful, and courteous. He genuinely tried his best to make guests comfortable. The property does showcase beautiful upstairs rooms with mountain views, and those may offer a much better experience. However, I strongly feel that the downstairs MAP plan rooms require much better upkeep, cleanliness, maintenance, and attention to guest privacy. With improved housekeeping and transparency regarding the room setup, this homestay has the potential to offer a much better stay experience. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works on these aspects, as the kindness of the staff deserves to be matched by better-maintained accommodations.

Our stay was not at all comfortable...a bucket full of dirty water was there to welcome us and it stayed there till our departure...three staffs but nobody cared to remove the same ..washbasin was leaking ..no proper lights in our rooms ..rooms beside the kitchen should be taken care of ...no privacy for me and my daughter...this property is highlighting only the view rooms upstairs but the rooms beside the kitchen full of dust and dirt..a guy was cleaning and mopping the floors after we checked in ..it is expected that the rooms should be cleaned before checking in...we checked at 5 pm too late it was....we had to check out early at 8 am and the morning tea was denied...blankets had a bad smell Only positive thing was the behavior of Parivesh and his awesome cooking skills which filled our heart.. Owner should take care of the rooms adjacent to kitchen because they are shabby dirty and damp... Did not feel like a homestay at all

Had a lovely experience at Wanderpine Homestay. The kitchen opened at 8 AM and I was served a wonderful breakfast that was fresh and delicious. What made the morning even more special was the music played by the staff—it instantly lifted my dull mood and created such a warm, positive atmosphere. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. A truly memorable stay, and I would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting Darjeeling." 🌲🏔️✨

Location is so bad like in a slum region with no lighting in a so called city like place Darjeeling.Room service worse as hell we were denied breakfast because they don't open their kitchen before 8 and we had to leave at 8.Rooms are so poor no privacy at all the men working put on loud music and work and their office is in the same common space.Zero privacy and service is very poor.Food was decent.Waste of money not even worth 500. Never come with family.
