We visited Zen Majestic Farmstay, Lebong near Darjeeling, in June 2025. The property is truly peaceful and located in an offbeat setting. The rooms are spacious and come with a common balcony. We enjoyed a fantastic valley view from the balcony, making the stay even more memorable.

Very fake intimation given to customers before booking. Very poor location, very risky and no security in the area for the customers. Toilets and bathrooms are full of insects and water are also dirty. It is very clear avoid and and reaching to this place.

The property itself is quite beautiful, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. The location is very far from the main city, and the last stretch of nearly 5 km to reach the property is in terrible condition. The road is extremely narrow, hilly, and completely broken in parts, making it difficult and stressful to drive. Our car even overheated due to the lack of a proper road. What made the experience worse was that the owner did not share any of this information at the time of booking. The access details were provided very late, which significantly impacted our plans and overall stay. Had we known about the condition of the approach road and the distance, we would have reconsidered our booking. The property has potential, but better transparency and clearer communication about the location and accessibility are absolutely necessary.

A great offbeat place to stay. The rooms are big and spacious but it's the common sitting area that seals the deal. They have got WiFi so it's good for wfh as well, surprisingly, me and my friends had our mobile network available the whole time (Jio and Airtel). You can loiter around the property for the whole day and enjoy the nature. Darsh uncle has equipped this place with binocular and telescope, to make sure that you do not miss any aspect of nature. We stayed for a day, played music the whole day, went down to the gazebo and chilled out. BYOB and cigs as there is no shop nearby. There is a trail that leads to the RungDung river, it starts right from the property itself. You can also take the main road to the river, if you wish to walk for 3 kms. Else, you can always take your vehicle to the river via the main road. The local villagers are very helpful. One thing to consider is that you might get bored if you're a person who needs activities to enjoy. There's not much to do here, but to wind down and take a break from life.

A hidden gem located in the lap of raw nature away from the Darjeeling's noise. Perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature and yourself.

Located in an offbeat location and a little away from Darjeeling. My relatives went there in May and they loved the place and location, rooms were very nice and big and spacious. All the rooms have a mountain view. The rooms had all the amenities required. Food and staff were also very nice. The place is ideally suited for nature lovers who want to explore the tranquility and serenity of the hills surrounded by tea gardens. Only drawback is that its away from the Darjeeling town and sometimes being an offbeat location there are power cuts. Otherwise a nice great outdoor place to spend time with nature.

Owner - darsh paul is a outright liar, he lied to us about the location of his property , lied to us about a river being 2 km and that we can walk till there while in reality it was more than 4 km each side totalling 8 km i wear apple watch i can share proof , moreover he posted pictures of a very nice swimming pool which was not of his property but he said its close by but upon arrival he said that its not accessible due to some reason road damage or something why post pictures of facilites that you dont have and can't give access to , hell there wasnt even electricity for more than 24 hours no backup nothing , no signal you are cut off from world with nowhere to go and place is so so far away that you will feel like you are getting punished , even the drivers that got us there were laughing on us that what a trap we got ourselves into .

Pathetic experience , the place is so far away from darjeeling that it will be pain to travel anywhere speciaal the roads leading to the stay itself is hazard , moreover when we reached there was no electricity whatsoever we booked room for 2 days but left after first night as all of our phone got switched of and only one phone had charge , we slept somehow and the owner was not cooperative and did not returned even a dime at all and said it was natural calamity ,are you not suppose to keep backup generater especially at a place that is so far and remote that you will litterally cry why you came there , dont fall for pictures , compelete no for young people and budget travellers as from that place anyhow you will have to spend minimum 3-4k to get anywhere, complete no.

Since I personally did not book our stay on AIRBNB I will add my review here. This was by far the worst (Airbnb) experience my entire family has ever had. We booked four rooms expecting a comfortable and memorable stay in Darjeeling, but were left incredibly disappointed and frustrated. First of all, unlike most Airbnbs, this listing did not provide sufficient or clear information about how challenging it would be to access the property. While you may have mentioned an “easiest” route, it didn’t change the fact that the journey was long, extremely inconvenient, and completely unsuitable for families with seniors, toddlers, or children—like ours. The road closures, rough terrain, and ongoing construction made it nearly impossible to reach the farm stay without stress and exhaustion. Yes, the view was beautiful, but it was not worth the time, energy, or money we spent getting there. Had we known how difficult it would be to reach the property, we would have never booked four rooms or put our entire family through such trouble. To make matters worse, we had to leave the next morning, cutting our trip short and missing out on exploring Darjeeling altogether. Traffic in Darjeeling is understandably not within your control, but the lack of upfront detail about the location’s accessibility is unacceptable. Even when we took an alternative route while leaving, it was still underdeveloped and poorly maintained. If you’re a solo traveler who doesn’t mind a long, rough commute and only wants peace, quiet, and a sunrise view—this place might work for you. But for families or anyone hoping to explore Darjeeling with ease, this is not the place to stay. Additionally, the rooms were not well maintained: • Some had no drinking water or running water upon arrival • Toilet paper, shampoo, and basic amenities were missing in some rooms • Only certain rooms had slippers provided • Cockroaches were found in the kitchen and rooms • If you’re not comfortable with bugs or are sensitive to cleanliness, this is definitely not for you Overall, this was a huge waste of time and money, especially with no option for a refund. I would not recommend this property to anyone traveling with family or looking for convenience and comfort.
