We stayed at City Lights BNB Homestay (Loft) for 2 nights and 3 days, and the experience was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, it didn’t feel like a homestay at all. It felt like we were staying at a relative’s home. The warmth, care, and hospitality made our trip even more memorable. Sikher, our host, was incredibly welcoming and supportive throughout our stay. Due to some delays, we arrived late, but he kept checking in to make sure we were comfortable and didn’t face any issues. Once we reached, he patiently explained everything about the room and facilities. The next morning, he prepared a delicious breakfast. The best part was that we could choose what we wanted, and he would cook it like magic. He also guided us about places to visit, how to plan our trip, and shared helpful local insights. Since my wife and I had traveled with our bikes, he even helped us safely park them on the slope, which was very thoughtful. The room was extremely clean and well-maintained, almost like new. All the facilities were available, along with a thoughtfully arranged snack tray. The bathroom was also fully equipped with all necessary amenities. Everything was comfortable and carefully arranged to make guests feel at home. The location of the homestay is prime. Most tourist spots are within walking distance, which makes exploring very convenient. One of the best highlights is the stunning panoramic view of Darjeeling city and the mountain peaks. We had an absolutely amazing stay! Our host, Sikhar, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He was incredibly welcoming and attentive always just a phone call away for anything we needed. The room was spacious, spotless, and featured a stunning view that you could stare at all day. A pleasant surprise was the delicious breakfast Shikhar provided, even though I hadn't realized meals were included! The BBQ was the absolute highlight of the trip, Sikhar even went the extra mile to let my friends (who were staying elsewhere) join us, which made the evening special. Pro Tip: Mall Road is within walking distance, but be prepared for the elevation! If you aren't used to steep terrain, it can be a bit of a workout. I’ll definitely be staying here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting!

I recently stayed at City Lights Airbnb in Darjeeling, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. A huge part of what made this stay so memorable was the host, Sikhar. He is incredibly warm, generous, and truly goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. You can tell he really cares about his guests and invests a lot of time and energy to get to know them, which made me feel really comfortable and welcomed. One of the highlights of my stay was when Sikhar invited me to his recording studio. As a sound engineer and music enthusiast, he introduced me to some amazing Nepalese music. It was such a unique experience, and I never would have had the chance to discover this music without him. Sikhar didn’t just show me around the city, he showed me the heart of Darjeeling. He made sure every part of my trip was unforgettable, and I honestly can’t wait to come back. Darjeeling has a special place in my heart now, all thanks to him. Had an amazing stay! The hosts treated us like family. Rooms were clean, cozy, and beautifully designed with a stunning view. Just a 10-minute walk to Mall Road and close to all major spots. Shikhar even took us to Happy Valley Tea Garden and local food stroll. His mom’s authentic Nepali food was delicious and made with so much love. It was an amazing stay at City lights bnb homestay! Location: It was very close to the main road. Its 15 min Walk to mall. We found the area to be very safe and clean. Room - It's spacious, well maintained, and has all basic amenities. The view of the mountain and the city from the window is something that made us awe for a moment as we entered the room. Food- How can we not mention what an amazing Cook Sikher(host) is ! He made delicious foods for us everyday. It's one of the many reasons we'll stay at his place time and again whenever we visit Darjeeling. Hospitality - Sikher was just a text or call away whenever we needed his help. He even made us delicious alu parathas in the early morning as we had to leave early. Overall, it's a perfect place if you're looking for a chaos free stay not far away from the city with a mesmerizing view of the mountain and the city. Delicious food is an added bonus.
