White Pine Retreat Charkhole Homestay

We stayed at White Pine Homestay, Charkhole, from 19 June 2026, and Charkhole itself is an incredibly beautiful place. The homestay is also very beautiful, well-maintained, and the location is absolutely amazing. There is no doubt that the property is excellent in many ways, and overall it is a wonderful place to stay. However, we had a very unpleasant experience during our second night's dinner on 21 June 2026 (Sunday). We had gone out for sightseeing in the morning, and at lunch there was rice and egg curry. We requested that the egg curry be served to us again at dinner along with chicken. At around 9:00–9:30 PM, we sat down for dinner. I first had dal and a fried item, which seemed fine. But when I started mixing the rice with the egg curry, I noticed a large insect in my food. At first, I thought it was an onion peel, but when I looked carefully, I realized it was actually a big insect. The sight was extremely disturbing. I immediately stopped eating, moved the plate away, and went to the washroom where I almost vomited. This was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience. Finding such a large insect in food clearly indicates serious negligence in the kitchen and food preparation area. Another issue that concerned us was that leftover food from previous days was being served again. The food taken from the refrigerator was simply kept outside for some time and then served without proper reheating. Food should always be heated properly before serving, especially when it has been refrigerated. The homestay and the location are beautiful, but food hygiene and kitchen management need immediate attention. I would request the management to look into these issues seriously. Future guests should also carefully check their food before eating. I hope the management takes this feedback positively and improves their food safety standards.

After I found about this homestay online, I was quiet interested due to its reasonable pricing. Now after our beautiful stay cation in the serene ambience and the co founder's amazing hospitality I will recommend this to all who loves peaceful, clean atmosphere. There are very few co founder's like Mr. Sudip and Mr. Subhashish who welcome so heartily and treats like family.

A lovely and scenic place with cozy, homely hospitality. I absolutely loved the ambiance and warmth of the place. The surroundings are truly mesmerizing, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A warm welcome by the owner make your day. Most welcoming environment and house keeping. Home type food which have fantastic. And the nature is awesome 👌.

Well maintained and happy to help in nature

Charkhole whispered, and White Pine Resort answered. 🏔️ Surrounded by tall pines and zero noise, it’s the kind of place where your phone loses signal but your heart finds it again. Woke up to clouds outside the window, sipped tea while the valley turned gold, and spent hours doing absolutely nothing - with the right person, that’s everything. The room and washroom both were neat and clean. Don't expect too much variety in food as it's an offbeat location. Owners & Staffs all were very friendly and helpful. Would have given 5-Star if momos were provided in evening snacks. 🥺 Still I would say, Shanto, niribili, ar prokritir kole ekdom perfect. ❤️

They were so welcoming — their hospitality and food were amazing. The view from the homestay was superb, and the Daisy garden quickly became my favorite spot to relax with a cup of tea.Go visit their homestay on your next holiday 🍃

White Pine Retreat Charkhole is absolutely incredible! The rooms were stunning, the service was top-notch, and the location was beyond perfect. I had such a fantastic holiday here with my family! Can't wait to visit again!

As a biker, my experience at this homestay was disappointing. The service was not biker-friendly as promised. Basic support and hospitality were lacking, and staff response was slow when assistance was needed. Parking arrangements were not satisfactory, and overall guest management could have been much better. I chose this place expecting a comfortable stay during my ride, but unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations. I hope the management improves their service quality and pays more attention to travelers and bikers in the future.

Amazing view from the homestay. Warm hospitality. Location is offbeat so the market isn’t accessible easily. But overall a nice and cozy experience and dreamy landscape and an aesthetic nook. Clean and hygienic. Budget friendly.

I had been here on vacation for last 3 days It gave me a feeling ....A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. Wonderful staff , excellent hospitality and beautiful ambience All must take a short visit to this place , otherwise u miss something
