Absolutely amazing, kanchanjanga view room , tasty food , good service, big rooms , absolutely safe for girls .highly recommended.

We stayed at Charkhole Homestay for one night with our friends, and overall, it was a memorable experience with a few areas that definitely need improvement. The biggest highlights are the breathtaking location and the stunning mountain views. The food was excellent—fresh, delicious, and cooked with great care. The hospitality was truly heartwarming. Mr. Kaushik, the manager, was extremely polite, helpful, and accommodating, especially since we made a last-minute booking. The boys serving the meals were always smiling, courteous, and eager to help, making us feel genuinely welcome. However, the property needs much better maintenance and hygiene. Although the homestay itself is beautiful, our bedsheets were not properly clean, and the quilts had a musty smell. Many parts of the property also had a damp, unmaintained feel. The common hall, especially the TV area, looked neglected and could be maintained much better. We stayed on the ground floor, so there were quite a few insects, but that's understandable in a hill destination. One more concern is the road leading to Charkhole. I had visited this place a few years ago, and unfortunately, the approach road is still in very poor condition—perhaps even worse now. I sincerely hope the authorities take steps to improve the road infrastructure, as such a beautiful destination deserves better accessibility. Finally, I request both the property owners and visitors to preserve the peaceful atmosphere of Charkhole. This is a serene and scenic destination, and loud music played by some groups spoils the calm environment that people come here to enjoy. Despite the maintenance issues, the warmth of the staff, the delicious food, and the spectacular views made our stay worthwhile. With better cleanliness, regular maintenance, and efforts to preserve the tranquility of the place, this homestay has the potential to offer an outstanding experience.

The outdoor is good and it is located in a offbeat position and also till homestay gate transportation is available. But for rooms i would say it is not clean we stayed in room 106, 108 The bedsheets were torn ,cobwebs are here and there. water is not passing properly in both the bathrooms. In my opinion I will not suggest this property to my friends and family.

I rated 3 star since the property looks good aesthetically and rooms are comfortable. But lacks hospitality and quality food. Hospitality in other homestay in the same Kalimpong district is way better.

Property : It is good but lack of maintenance. Insects & Flies around the dining area and room. They couldnt provide door lock and asked us to leave the room unlocked. Food : Worst food ever I had in my entire life with zero variation and they take ages to make a cup of coffee aswell. Room Service : This boy Rajiv is a true gem, he is very cooperative and always at your service. After spending 2k/head i dont think this kind of service is what we deserve.
