Our stay at Kanchanview Homestay in Darjeeling was truly unforgettable. We reached on the 24th May during a time of massive traffic congestion and continuous heavy rain across Darjeeling. In spite of all these challenges, the warmth, care, and cooperation we received from the owner, caretaker, and staff made our trip absolutely wonderful. On the first day, because of the terrible traffic, the entire town almost came to a standstill and we couldn’t explore much. The next morning, even when getting a cab seemed nearly impossible, the caretaker personally helped us arrange one so that we could visit the zoo and nearby attractions. That level of support and hospitality genuinely touched us. The location of the homestay is slightly away from the Mall area, but honestly, that became its biggest advantage. The peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking terrace view are simply magical. From the terrace, you can see the toy train passing, the majestic Kanchenjunga, beautiful pine forests, and a panoramic view of the entire city. Waking up to those views every morning felt surreal. The food was delicious, the ambience was cozy and peaceful, and every member of the staff treated us like family. We stayed for three days, and despite the rain and difficult weather conditions, we enjoyed every single moment here. My 3-year-old child enjoyed the stay the most, which made the experience even more special for us as parents. The homestay also has its own parking and garage area, making loading and unloading luggage extremely convenient — a huge advantage on hillkart road. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Kanchanview Homestay team for making our trip so memorable. This place is not just a stay; it’s an experience filled with warmth, comfort, and unforgettable views. Beautiful views from inside the rooms. We could see the toy train passing occasionally, watched the clouds descend from the hills, and enjoyed the view of the majestic mountains. Their chicken, pork, and egg dishes are a must try! The staff here is also friendly and welcoming.

Very unhappy with the service. Rooms are not properly cleaned,dustibs were not cleaned, used bed sheets are given, proper water is not coming in the bathrooms. The TV remote is not working, one pillow is given for each room, dirty blankets are provided. This is not possible we will go and ask for everything. 👎🏻
