A Little Piece of Peace 🌿❤️ I spent 3 beautiful days at Naina Homestay, Charkhol, Kalimpong, and honestly, it was one of the most peaceful and wonderful stays I’ve ever experienced. This place has a charm of its own. From the breathtaking mountain views and peaceful surroundings to the warmth of the people, everything made me feel like I wasn’t staying at a homestay—I was staying at someone’s home. Everyone here was so kind, polite and welcoming that leaving actually felt a little difficult. ❤️ The food deserves a special mention too. It was simple, homely and wholesome, yet absolutely delicious. Sometimes, the simplest meals made with love are the ones you remember the most. 🥰 And then came my favourite part—the little residents of Naina Homestay! 🐾❤️ I got to meet Tiger, their adorable pet dog, and Miss Norris, their beautiful little cat, and they truly have my heart. ❤️ As someone who is an animal lover and especially a little cat-obsessed, meeting them made my stay even more special. I only wish everyone who visits this beautiful place would be a little kinder towards the animals. They don't ask for much—just a little love, gentleness and respect. Seeing a little kitten being hurt by a child while the adults around didn't intervene honestly broke my heart. And loud music can also disturb not only these little souls but the neighbours and other guests who come here looking for peace. I hope everyone who stays here remembers that the beauty of Charkhol lies precisely in its silence and serenity. ❤️ For me, this place is 100/10. 🌿✨ If you're tired of the noise and rush of everyday life and simply want to disappear somewhere peaceful for a few days, this is the place. Come here. Sit by the window. Watch the mountains disappear into the clouds. Wake up to the greenery. Watch the magnificent Kanchenjunga view when the skies are clear. Read a book, write your own little novel, have a cup of tea, and just breathe. And most importantly—don't forget to give a little love to the four-legged residents who make this place even more special. 🐶🐱❤️ And Miss Norris… 🥺🐱❤️ I hope you know that this crazy cat-obsessed girl has completely fallen in love with you. I loved every little moment with you, and honestly, I miss you so much already. 😢❤️ I wish I could have taken you home with me, but for now, I’ll just carry your little memories in my heart until I see you again. Best view in charkhole area, food is okay

We spent 3 night last week at naina homestay with my family, our experience was absolutely great, specially location of this property is amazing. Overall great property ❤️

My stay at Naina Homestay in Charkhole was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this property. The biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness and maintenance. There were plenty of insects around the property, and it seemed that no pest control measures were being used. The second-floor lobby was constantly occupied by cats and dogs, and no effort was made to keep the area clean. There was no regular mopping, grooming, or proper housekeeping, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the stay. Another unpleasant experience was the behavior of the staff. If guests sat in the lobby after 9:00 PM and had a normal conversation or played music at a reasonable volume, the staff would come and argue in a rude manner instead of speaking politely and respectfully. This created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was one of the worst parts of the experience. The taste was extremely bland, the quality was poor, and the portions were surprisingly small. Unless you specifically asked for more, they would not offer additional servings. Unfortunately, the food quality was so disappointing that asking for more was hardly worthwhile. Parking was another major inconvenience. There is no proper parking arrangement, and throughout the stay we were repeatedly asked by the elderly lady of the property to move our car from one place to another. It became a constant nuisance instead of a hassle-free experience. The property also does not offer the mountain views that are advertised. Most of the time, there is no visible view of the Himalayas. Only on very rare occasions, if the weather is exceptionally clear, might you catch a glimpse. If you’re booking this place expecting scenic mountain views, you are likely to be disappointed. Overall, the property is poorly maintained, lacks cleanliness, offers substandard food, has inadequate parking arrangements, and provides an unpleasant guest experience due to the staff’s attitude. My stay was far from enjoyable, and I would not choose to stay here again.

I am visited naini home stay. Its position excellent. 360view and service a very very good

Worst homestay experience — avoid at all costs Location: Average, the place has plenty of insects, mosquitoes, and even wild cats roaming around. Felt unsafe and unhygienic. Service & Food: No proper meal system. Food quality is extremely poor. For lunch/dinner we got just one small egg with a spoon of gravy — no extra portions, no vegetables. Tea comes late, around 8:30 AM, with no biscuits. Any feedback is met with arguments. They refuse to accept criticism. Staff Behavior: The owner, her elder sister, and their mother were very rude, arrogant, and disrespectful throughout the stay. Cleanliness & Maintenance: Rooms and bathrooms are not cleaned even once during the stay. No housekeeping. Combined with insects and mosquitoes, it was horrible. Overall: No hospitality, no cleanliness, no service, plus pest issues. This is the worst homestay I’ve experienced. Strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The location is very good but there are a lot of issues with the hospitality. There were big problems with the timing for morning tea and afternoon lunch. Lunch would arrive around 2:15 or 2:20, which isn’t our usual meal time. Morning tea also came as late as 8:30. They don’t serve any biscuits with the tea, and even after we mentioned it, they still didn’t provide any—they just said “buy some from the shop” or things like that. The rooms are decent, but the cleaning isn’t proper. For example, I requested to clean the toilet after entering the bathroom. They only used a brush—no toilet cleaner was used at all. Even after I asked, they didn’t use any. Also, they didn’t provide hand wash even after we requested it. And another thing: we had already agreed to pay for extra tea when we took it. Despite that, the tea they served was really bad quality. Plus, they served it with a lot of irritation, saying things like “Wait, we’re busy right now.” So location-wise it’s very good, but I’ve already mentioned the problems with everything else.

As per position Naina homestay is the best option in charkhole, food also excellent. Rooms are well maintained. We spend 3 night with family last week. So many sightseeing you can cover from here. Must recommend.
