We had a wonderful stay at this homestay with our friends. The place was clean, comfortable, and felt just like home. The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The helper was also very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made our trip even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the care and warmth we received. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. We would love to visit again💕💕🌼❤️❤️❤️

I had bad experience there. Room was stinky. Toilet was clean but staff was lazy a bit. View could be good but I was there in cloudy season. So can't see anything but cloud.

Pathetic owners behavior, no one available for anything, they are not guiding or helping cx how to reach the exact location, no one avaliable for any help, water was not coming in washroom, nothing good about the homestay except the view from the roof.

My stay at Mall Vista Homestay was extremely disappointing. First of all, this is not really a homestay experience as there is no in-house kitchen facility available. I informed the owner well in advance to arrange dinner by 7 PM since I would be arriving late. I reached around 9 PM, and after waiting for nearly an hour, I received a call from the owner informing me that food was unavailable because many tourists had arrived in Darjeeling and the restaurants had run out of food. Eventually, I was served tasteless roti and sabzi, for which I was charged ₹240. The service was extremely poor. Staff members were unresponsive and did not seem interested in addressing guest concerns. Basic hospitality was completely missing. The room lacked even the most basic amenities. No toiletries were provided. There was no electric kettle in the room and no proper arrangement for drinking hot water. When I requested hot water, it was served in a plastic mug and plastic glass, which is neither hygienic nor suitable for hot beverages. The washroom was poorly designed and maintained. There were no hooks to hang clothes or towels and not even a proper holder or shelf to keep a toothbrush and other toiletries. Such basic facilities are expected in any accommodation. The property also advertises a sunrise/view experience, but there was no view at all during my stay—only fog. While weather is beyond anyone's control, the overall experience did not justify the price charged. Overall, poor service, lack of basic amenities, food issues, and inadequate guest support made this one of the worst stays I have experienced. If you wish to enjoy your Darjeeling trip, I would strongly recommend looking for other accommodation options.

I was here with my friends and the atmosphere here is very pleasant. The one thing I liked most here is the view. And as for the homestead owner—what can I say? He is extremely humble and polite. In the end, I’ll just say one thing: we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent here.

It's an absolute highlight!That said, the location is quite elevated, so I wouldn't recommend it for elderly parents due to the steep access. For adventurous travelers, though, it's a fantastic budget-friendly stay packed with amenities and unbeatable vistas. Pro tip: Ask the owner for trusted driver contacts—they'll hook you up with reliable, safe options for seamless sightseeing.

You get an incredible view of the sunrise and can literally see Tiger Hill from here. ​If you visit during a full moon, the view of the entire Darjeeling town at night is magical. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are quite comfortable. Don't miss having your morning tea while watching the sunrise—it’s an experience in itself! ​The caretaker is very helpful and maintains the place well. Also, if you happen to meet the owner, try to get a contact number for one of their trusted drivers for your local sightseeing."

The homestay is located on the second floor and is not easily visible from the location shown on maps. After reaching the location, You have to take stairs upwards from the road for the best views you may get from any hotel in Darjeeling. Rooms were clean and well maintained, service was good and The view so good that you don't need to visit any sunrise viewpoints if you stay here! Completely satisfied with the hospitality of Ravi ji. He was very friendly and helpful. He helped us a lot with our iterinary as ours was an unplanned trip.

Stayed there for two nights.Water flows very slow from tap and geyser so that you have to wait a long to fetch a bucket of water.Despite repeated request with video evidence this problem was not solved by the owner.He said everything is normal.Bathroom itself is very small so that you have to hit basin and commode when bathing.A good view of Mt.Kanchanjungha is visible from here.But you have to climb up a long way from jeep stand to reach here.Service is not up to the mark.

জলের খুব সমস্যা।দুদিন ছিলাম।কল থেকে এতটাই কম জল বের হয় যে ছোট একটা বালতি ভরতে প্রায় আধ ঘন্টা লাগে।মালিক কে সমস্যা র কথা জানাতে উনি এটাকে প্রথমে সমস্যা বলে মানতেই চাইলেন না।তারপর মিস্ত্রী ডেকে ঠিক করিয়ে দেওয়ার কথা বললেও দুদিনেও সেটা করলেন না।যতবার ফোন করলাম উনি একবার বলেন সব ঠিকই আছে,একবার বলেন পাইপের সমস্যা আছে মিস্ত্রী ডেকে ঠিক করিয়ে দেবেন।কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত ওঁর সমস্যাটা মেটানোর কোনও সদিচ্ছা দেখলাম না।গরম জল তো আরও আস্তে পড়ছিল।খুব সমস্যা হয়েছে।একা ছিলাম তাই কোনো রকমে আগের রাত থেকে বালতি ভরে সকালে কাজ চালিয়েছি।কেউ পরিবার নিয়ে গেলে খুব সমস্যায় পড়বেন।তেমন কোন সার্ভিস এখানে নেই।একটাই মাত্র ভালো ব্যাপার হলো এখান থেকে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা বেশ ভালো দেখা যায়।কিন্তু এই হোটেল অব্দী পৌঁছাতে আমাকে প্রচুর খাড়া রাস্তা উঠতে হয়েছে।কেভেন্টার এর কাছে যেখানে শেয়ার জিপ নামিয়ে দেয়,সেখান থেকে অনেকটা খাড়া রাস্তা উঠতে হয়।বয়স্কদের জন্য অথবা পায়ে ব্যাথা থাকলে তাঁদের খুবই কষ্ট হবে।বাথরুম ভীষন ছোট।স্নান করার খুব অসুবিধা।স্নান করতে গেলে বেসিন আর কমোডে ধাক্কা লাগবে।

Love it 🫶🏻 The best part was definitely the view 🪟, you can see the hills and mountains🏔️ right from the homestay, which made morning feel special.😇 The room was comfortable and peaceful, felt like home 🏠 but with better scenery.👀 I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a nice spot ✌🏻with a beautiful view in Darjeeling.✨

A very scenic location, with a home like experience a perfect place to stay while your visit to the Queen Of Hills, with good service and comfy rooms.

You get the entire view of Kanchenjunga & also watch the sunrise from the stays terrace, had a really good experience, will visit again!

The property has a beautiful panoromic view of the forest and the mountains from the balcony. The rooms were clean and service was very prompt. The booking charges are quite nominal. Staff were supportive. I had a memorable stay for 3 nights. The owner is very polite and helpful.
