Singalila Riverside Farmstay

One of the best offbeat place for nature lovers, river lovers, peace lovers and mostly organic food lovers.. Enjoyed the stay, the ambience, the river, and their mouth melting Rainbow trout barbecue.. Had a cool natural jacuzzi bath, soaked in the sun, got stacked for a year with beautiful moments.

Singalila Riverside Homestay is located in a very beautiful place and the location itself is amazing. However, reaching the homestay requires some walking. Before our arrival, the management told us that their staff would help carry all our bags and luggage, but after repeatedly calling them, only one person came and we had to carry the rest ourselves because they said they could not manage it. The food options were very limited, and even if you asked for an extra cup of tea, it was not available. We stayed in the Bamboo Cottage, and despite the geyser not working properly, we were still told not to use it. Even when we requested hot water for our baby, they were unwilling to provide it and only did so after repeated requests. The owner and management were not helpful at all. The behavior of the staff was very rude, and the food quality was just average. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Even after booking the entire Bamboo Cottage, we were not given any special support or proper service.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen 😍😍.. Hosts often treat guests as family, offering home-cooked meals and local stories. Activities include birdwatching, village walks, stargazing and bonfires.. I would say that you should come and visit here to enjoy the beauty of nature.🏞️😇

I'm staying One night in those cottage.views and cottages is good. But according to Price service,Food, Hospitality, Behaviour was disappointing 🥲

You will love it if you go as a group. You can spend a couple of days easily doing activities around the river. For couples/family it should be a one night stay as there is nothing much to do. Specially after sunset as its closely surrounded by mountains. Some lights far away is eye shoothing, which you cant expect here. If you are coming to Dhotrey or Bijanbari then can spend a day. Food options are very limited and monotonous in nature for longer stay and rooms are small as stair eats up a lot of space. I must mention about the river 3 stars are for the river itself. You can do fishing. Or just sit beside it. Day time was great.

Had a good experience. Room was a bit small but their services, food and the village itself were really good. Don't bring children and aged people as of now there is no proper road.

Wonderful, everyone will go there again. Very nice. They take very good care of their guests. Very kind-hearted people.

Very nice place

The farmstay is at great location and above all i really want to mention the behaviour of the owner and his family were very sweet and generous, they make sure everything is going according to your comfort and you feel special, and lastly, most importantly how can I forget about the food! It was so delicious specially the trout fish and bamboo chicken was truly yumm. Overall had a great experience and highly recommended to everyone!

We have recently visited Fanchaytar and stayed at Singalila Riverside Farmstay Located in Bijonbari, a quaint riverside farmstay framed by lush greenery and a flowing river offers a peaceful, budget-friendly stay immersed in nature. Its scenic setting beside a beautiful harmonious river and surrounded by verdant hills, waterfalls and chirping birds makes it ideal for trekkers and nature lovers. Room comfort or general cleanliness: The cottage rooms and bathrooms are very neat and clean and have an aesthetic look. Even the whole common area is very clean and full of plants which will definitely sooth your eyes and soul.. Host hospitality and service: To be honest no one can ask for more!!! What a family!! Pemba ji and every person in his family is equally humble, well behaved, super cute and generous.. Every now and then they were asking if there was any problem, though there was nothing to complain about!! Food quality or meal options: They have a chef in their team what else should I say!!! They provide tea two times a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner and each and every home cooked meal was deliiiicious and organic. The portion size is also very good, they offer their homemade GHEE and DALLE KHURSANI pickle with every meal 😋😋😋 Pemba ji and his whole family is always available to ask about your needs... Must try : Bamboo Chicken ❤️ what an experience oh my god! For me it is a 100/100 !! Value for money and unique experiences. We would love to visit again and again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Location: A remote village situated by the bank of river flowing through a valley. 4 hours drive from Darjeeling. The homestay is located just by the river bank. Place: Serene. Green. Rooms: Rooms are extremely clean & tidy. Clean duvet, blanket and towel is provided. Washroom is clean. Has geyser. Handwash & soap is provided. Food: Pemba Ji’s wife does most of the cooking. She is a great cook. Even basic food like dal, soya curry ,squash or aloo pakoda tasted delicious. Special shoutout to the tea & roti. Hospitality: Pemba ji & his family is extremely warm. Always eager to help you out with anything. They have a genuine caring attitude towards their guests. Makes you feel at ease & comfortable. The place is suitable for anybody to visit. Be it a solo traveller or family. There are plenty of activity options, like you can go fishing or trek uphill. A trek through the healing valley is another. The village itself is beautiful. The scenic beauty as you go trekking through the valley is mesmerising. This place is a great for couples and friends too as the homestay has ample space and you can always find a cosy quiet corner in the property to sit with your buddy and relax. A must visit if you’re looking for somewhere truly offbeat.
