Such a cozy and nice homestay and not very far from city centre. Aunty was very good in hospitality and served great food. The rooms was little small but sufficient for couple. Room had common balcony attached with a great view of kanchenjunga and happy valley tea estate. Worth staying here with nice budget option.

A very beautiful cozy homestay at a 15 mins walking distance from mall road beyond Chowk bazar. Very hospitable host and homely atmosphere. Owners also arrange homemade healthy food on request. Jigmee and his parents DK uncle and aunty are such lovely people who make your stay in Darjeeling extra special. Room rents are reasonable. View from balcony is awesome.

I hardly don't know what to write about this homestay— Having stayed at numerous homestays, I can confidently say that this is, without a doubt, the very best ... Uncle and Aunty and his Son run the place themselves... and staying here truly feels just like being in your own home. One afternoon, I returned having missed lunch; within just an hour, Aunty had whipped up a meal for me. .... Auntie's cooking is extraordinary.... It genuinely feels as though you are visiting the home of close relatives. Plus, the view is absolutely stunning. To put it simply: if you are looking for wonderful people and a delightful atmosphere, I believe this is the ultimate and best homestay choice.

I recently visited Darjeeling and stayed at Sarangi Homestay — and it was an amazing experience! The homestay offers a stunning mountain view right from the rooms, which are beautifully designed, spotless, and very well maintained. The food was absolutely delicious — I’d rate it a solid 10/10 for both quality and taste. The owner is incredibly friendly, polite, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Darjeeling and looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and homely stay with breathtaking views! 🌄✨

Stayed for 3 nights, wonderful view from balcony. Very hospitable and welcoming family. Lama ji provided us with all the assistance including travel, serving as a guide with the complete tour fooding and lodging. Will definitely stay here when we revisit. 100% recommended.

I was there for 4 nights in January this year with my family & I must say that the experience was really sweet. The family is very welcoming in nature & they prioritize the guests first. Rooms are cozy with needed amenities. There are two rooms with a common balcony from where you can have a clear breathtaking view of the valley in front. Though the homestay is in the outskirts of the town but for me it was comfortable because I don't prefer the chaos. Rather, it was a peaceful stay away from the pandemonium of the mall road. Also, the owner has their own private car which they use to pick/drop the guests to any location nearby if required at some nominal cost. Talking about the food, they serve homely food with great taste. Son of the owner, Riyad takes care of all the things regarding the homestay & he is a very cool guy. Moreover, I can say, during the stay, we never felt that we were out of home. It was like we were staying at our 2nd home. You can definitely give it a try.

I had a delightful stay at Sarangi Homestay, a serene retreat nestled in the heart of Darjeeling. The home-cooked meals were a highlight, rich in local flavors and lovingly prepared. My room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The hosts were warm and attentive, offering excellent recommendations for nearby attractions and even arranging local tours. With its stunning views, exceptional hospitality, and tranquil ambiance, Sarangi Homestay is a perfect getaway in Darjeeling.

Me and my mother recently visited the Homestay and experienced a very good hospitality and homely environment. We visited Darjeeling in Christmas season 2024 and it was heavily crowded. However we feel lucky to get such a good accommodation in a low budget. Pros: View (4.5/5): Maybe Kanchenjunga is not visible from the Homestay but it gives an excellent night view of Darjeeling and beautiful sunset on the valley. Service (5/5): Owner and his family always take care of the guests. They cooked delicious meals, responded promptly whenever we asked for help, arranged car for local visit and even for Sikkim tour, that too in a reasonable price. Decoration (5/5): The Homestay is decorated with beautiful flowers and fairy lights. Cons: Location (3/5): Nearly 1 km from the Darjeeling Mall and it is all the way uphill. However it is somewhat nearby the Darjeeling bus and taxi stand. The Homestay is nearby the Court, hence has some restrictions for the vehicles. Room maintenance (3.5/5): Room was neat and clean, but geyser was non functional. It was tripped, even after resetting no hot water was produced! Hopefully owner will resolve the issue soon. We cannot compare a Homestay with a hotel. Sarangi Homestay is far better than similar budget hotels in Darjeeling. However a room heater can add more value to the Homestay and in winter it is something essential.

In October, we had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay for three days. The homestay offered excellent value for money, with a very reasonable price for the stay. Our room was not only neat and clean but also cozy and comfortable, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking—it was one of the highlights of our stay. I still can’t get over how stunning the scenery was. Although the homestay does not provide food as part of the stay, you can purchase meals separately. The food quality was quite good, offering a variety of delicious options to satisfy our hunger. It was nice to have the flexibility of choosing what we wanted to eat. The only downside to the homestay is its location. It is a bit far from Mall Road and the main town center, so getting there requires a bit of a walk. However, this distance also made the stay peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. Despite the walk, the overall experience was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We would definitely recommend this homestay for a relaxing getaway.

The owner's younger son (Riyad) was dealing with us. He was gentle, friendly and very helpful. Whenever we needed anything Riyad or uncle or aunty or his elder sister was always there for us. It is an excellent place to stay in Darjeeling. The view was very nice. Food was great. The hospitality of the owners are great. The homely atmosphere here with all the facilities will make your stay very comfortable. Last but not the least the caring touch of Aunty in everything is a blessing.
