I stayed there for 3 weeks. It's a wonderful experience & They treat like a family & good homemade food. Many trekkable spots near to homestay. You can enjoy lot of home made wines!! Peaceful good for remote job workers. Peaceful yakteen village.

I recently stayed at this homestay during a holiday, and the experience was disappointing. The service was poor and did not meet even basic expectations. The behavior of the owner’s mother was rude and unprofessional, which made the stay uncomfortable. Hospitality is a key part of any homestay, but unfortunately, this place seriously lacks it. I would not recommend this property unless there are significant improvements in both service and guest handling.

"I had a wonderful stay at Orchid Homestay in Yakten village! Nestled in the emerald hills of the Pakyong district, Yakten was officially inaugurated in July 2025 as India’s first Digital Nomad Village. The peaceful location, surrounded by stunning natural beauty, made it the perfect escape from the city. Located just 8 km from Pakyong, it is conveniently accessible yet feels worlds away. The rooms were cozy and clean, with breathtaking views right outside the window. Most importantly, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and treated us like family, ensuring we had everything we needed—from delicious home-cooked meals to reliable Wi-Fi for my remote work. I can’t recommend this hidden gem enough!"

Calm atmosphere with zero disturbance. People do come here to experience serenity plus it's recommended for group travel. The view of Kanchenjunga & the beautiful orchid, I loved them both.

I am writing this review after 1.5 years after having a stay here as I suddenly recalled this stay. Everything was very well arranged. The family is also very welcome... Would definitely recommend it
